Sussex’s End Day: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Oprah Interview Booed at National TV Awards and Emmy Loss

and 's explosive interview with earlier this year has been met with mixed reactions.

While many praised the couple for their bravery in speaking out about their royal exit, others criticized them for their remarks about the British royal family and Buckingham Palace.

The latest backlash came during the National TV Awards in London last week, where a clip of the interview reportedly received boos and jeers from the audience.

According to sources, Meghan and Harry were shown on screen during a montage of TV moments from the past year, and the audience reacted negatively.

One source described it as “audible booing throughout the arena,” while another celebrity source confirmed that there were boos and laughter when the clip came up.

Despite this negative reception, the interview was watched by more than 49 million people worldwide in the first three days, according to CBS Television.

The interview also lost at the Emmy Awards, where it was nominated in the best hosted non-fiction series category.

The award instead went to Stanley Tucci's Searching for Italy, a reality show about traditional Italian cuisine.

Contrary to rumors, Meghan and Harry did not attend the low-key ceremony for creative awards held with a limited audience in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a royal expert has claimed that Meghan's desire to curate her own wedding ceremony showed her desire to break with tradition.

For their wedding in May 2018, Meghan requested American Bishop Michael Curry to give a speech and invited the predominantly black gospel choir, Kingdom Choir, to sing during the service.

Speaking to the Channel 5 documentary Fergie and Meghan, Inconvenient Royals, royal historian Dr Anna Whitelock said, “I think there's every sign that the marriage of Harry and Meghan marked the beginning of something different, or at least Meghan wanted to curate things in her own way.”

Journalist Tiwaday Bayo added, “For Meghan, being a woman of color, having a gospel choir that were mostly black and having a black minister as well, whilst that might not seem political and perhaps it shouldn't be seen as political, it absolutely was a political choice and I think she was trying to send a very clear message.

She wasn't going to be leaving behind who she was.”

Meghan and Harry's royal exit and subsequent interviews have been a source of controversy and fascination for many.

While some see their actions as brave and necessary, others view them as disrespectful and attention-seeking.

Regardless of one's opinion, it is clear that the couple's choices have had a significant impact on the royal family and the public's perception of them.

In conclusion, and 's Oprah interview continues to be a topic of discussion and debate.

While it has received both praise and criticism, it is clear that the couple's decision to speak out about their royal exit has had a lasting impact.

Whether this impact is positive or negative remains to be seen, but it is certain that the Sussexes will continue to make headlines for years to come.
