King Charles Takes Over the Throne

Following the passing of , King Charles has taken over the throne.

While he is considered the King of England, his official coronation won't occur until May 6th, 2023.

Reports have been trickling in about what to expect on coronation day under King Charles' reign, including how many people will attend, how long the ceremony will take, what people will be wearing, and who will be involved in the planning of it.

According to reports, King Charles' eldest son, , will play an active role in planning the big day and will also be taking part in it.

It's possible that Kate Middleton, his wife, will also be part of the event that will take place at Westminster Abbey.

The royals believe that involving the Prince of Wales will be viewed as a sign of continuity between the generations and the closer working relationship between the King and his heir.

Public Apathy Could Be the Biggest Threat to King Charles' Reign

Historian Dr Anna Whitelock believes that public indifference is the biggest threat to King Charles' reign.

According to her, apathy would be the biggest challenge to Charles' rule.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl has revealed that the assumption is that people will just clock out and lose interest in the monarchy.

They already have.

People won't be interested in or actually understand the monarchy, which could lead to the establishment of a republic and the end of the monarchy, Nicholl says.

However, the good news for the royal family is what has been observed over the first few weeks of King Charles' rule indicates anything but disinterest.

Meanwhile, it's no coincidence that six weeks into his reign, King Charles still hasn't given Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children and titles.

Harry and Meghan Could Lose Their Titles

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's titles could be in danger, as the new King has a ruthless side, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl.

If Harry and Meghan continue their attacks on the royal family, or are seen to be tarnishing the monarchy in any way, their titles could be in jeopardy, says the long-time royal expert.

Harry and Meghan have given several interviews, certainly not the least of which was their bombshell interview with , in which they have criticised not just members of the royal family, but the institution itself.

Now that Harry's father, Charles, is king, Harry and Meghan's children, Archie and Lilibet, are entitled to be known as Prince and Princess, as they are the grandchildren of the monarch.

But Nicholl says, if Harry and Meghan continue to speak out, Charles could unleash what she calls his ruthless side, keeping titles away from not just Archie and Lily, who heretofore have never had titles, but also stripping Harry and Meghan of theirs as well.

According to a royal expert, it's said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now focused on their new lives and have no desire to return to the royal family.
