Emmy CEO Rejects Meghan as Judge: Royal Expert Calls Nomination a PR Stunt
In a surprising turn of events, Emmy CEO has rejected Meghan Markle, the former basic cable actress and wife of Prince Harry, as a judge for the prestigious television awards.
It has been reported that the couple bought a Hollywood Critics Award nomination for their Netflix reality show, “All About Them, Harry and Meghan.”
However, this nomination wasn't enough for the Markles, who were hoping for an Emmy nomination.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield has poured salt in the wound by claiming that the nomination they did receive was simply a PR stunt.
Schofield pointed out that the Hollywood Critics Association, which hands out the award, is currently embroiled in a scandal.
Several females have left the group, alleging mistreatment.

According to Schofield, publicists are contacted before the award show to ensure certain individuals win, guaranteeing a full audience.
Another royal expert, Angela Levin, revealed that Meghan Markle had allegedly attempted to become one of the voters for the nominees and winners of the Emmys.
Levin found it amusing that Meghan applied to be a judge, as she would likely only vote for her own documentary.
However, her application was unsuccessful, and she has been snubbed by the board, despite its large size.
Interestingly, Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, is more qualified to be an Emmy judge than she is.
Thomas has won two daytime Emmy awards for his work on General Hospital, and he has been nominated for several others.
He even garnered a prime-time Emmy nomination for his production assistance on the 58th annual Academy Awards in 1986.
Levin also criticized the content of Meghan and Harry's six-part docuseries, which aired in December 2022.
She claimed that much of it was fictional and filled with lies.
Levin watched all six hours of the series and found it to be boring.
She mentioned a particular scene where Meghan mimicked how she greeted Queen Elizabeth II with a low curtsy, using a squeaky voice and sitting next to Prince Harry.
Levin found this reenactment disrespectful and believed it showcased Meghan's control over Harry.
The Television Academy, responsible for the Emmys, is composed of nearly 20,000 members divided into 31 specialized fields.
These members vote on the nominees and winners within their respective areas of expertise.
Any professional in the television industry can apply for membership and voting rights, but those seeking national active membership must have actively engaged in television production or distribution for the past four years.
They must also meet additional qualifications, such as being nominated for a primetime Emmy award or having a significant body of work relevant to their peer group.
Although Meghan Markle's attempt to become an Emmy judge has been unsuccessful, it remains to be seen what other endeavors she and Prince Harry will pursue in the world of entertainment.
Despite the setback, the couple continues to make headlines and captivate audiences worldwide.
Only time will tell what lies ahead for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in their new ventures.
