Princess Anne Ready to Support King Charles III as his Closest Confidant

Princess Anne has always been known as the hardest-working royal, and now she is set to play a pivotal role in supporting her brother, King Charles III, as he transitions into his new role as monarch.

According to royal expert Tominey, the Princess Royal will act as the King's closest confidant, given her proximity in age to him.

Although they have led separate lives, Princess Anne will be stepping up to support her brother following the death of their beloved mother, II, who was Britain's longest-reigning monarch.

Along with the Earl and Countess of Wessex, she will continue to be a front-row royal in the court of King Charles.

Princess Anne made history this week by becoming the first woman to stand guard by her late mother's oak coffin at the vigil at St Giles Cathedral on Monday.

She also accompanied her mother's body back to London, with the Queen leaving Scotland for the last time bound for RAF Northolt on Tuesday.

The Queen's oak coffin, accompanied by Anne and her husband Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, travelled to Buckingham Palace where the King, the Queen Consort, the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were waiting to receive it.

The Queen's only daughter was also at the bedside of the monarch when she took her final breath on Thursday at her Scottish residence in Balmoral.

Miss Tominey said this once again proved Anne's willingness to go the extra mile for an institution she has served unwaveringly for more than half a century.

She added that ever since that heart-breaking day for the royals, the Crown has endured, with the smooth transition to the reign of Charles III supported by a family united in its desire to lead a nation in respectful mourning.

Long regarded as a daddy's girl thanks to her similar no-nonsense temperament to Prince Philip, Princess Anne has proved herself once again to be every inch her mother's daughter.

In paying tribute to the Queen, Anne said it was an honour and a privilege to accompany her on her final journeys.

The Princess also thanked the nation for the support and understanding offered to her dear brother Charles as he takes on his duties as King.

She ended her statement with the words, “to my mother, the Queen, thank you.”

In addition to her role in supporting the new King, Princess Anne has also been critical of younger generations of royals who have broken tradition when it comes to charity work.

Known for representing humanitarian causes for the royal family for over 50 years, she didn't name names, but it's anyone's guess who she was talking about.

Princess Anne prides herself on being drama-free and is always willing to lend her support where needed.

When asked whether Harry and Meghan might be put out by her implicit criticism, the Princess simply said she'd get in touch with her nephew if need be and left it at that.

As the nation mourns the loss of II, Princess Anne's unwavering dedication to the Crown and her family's unity will undoubtedly provide much-needed support to King Charles III as he takes on his new role as monarch.
