Ellen DeGeneres Lists Montecito Home for Sale as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Consider Selling Theirs

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has listed her one-story home in Montecito for sale, just over four months after purchasing it.

The property is valued at over $13.9 million and boasts three bedrooms and five bathrooms.

The home is described as having chic architecture, soaring ceilings, and an incredible indoor/outdoor flow, making it the ultimate oasis.

Although DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have not given a clear reason for selling their home, they are known for their reputation as house flippers, having bought and sold over 20 properties between 2003 and 2011.

Meanwhile, and , who live over 10 minutes from DeGeneres' home, are also considering selling their new home, which is currently valued at $14.9 million.

The Montecito enclave is home to many celebrities and wealthy entertainment titans, including 's promised land estate, reportedly worth $50 million, where she filmed her popular TV specials with Adele, , and .

Other celebrities living in the area include Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently moved in after reportedly paying $12 million for her property, which she has been renovating for years.

According to Robyn Standifer from architecture firm Roman & Williams, the property has a “Knuts and Krufts vibe” and is like an ancient bathhouse unexpectedly sheathed in beautiful pale green tiles.

Paltrow herself reportedly said that she loves investigating the tension and voltage between things you don't normally see combined.

However, rumors suggest that Harry and Meghan's neighbors are not happy with the couple's presence in the area.

Actor Rob Lowe previously described Montecito as a sleepy little town, but when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved in, they brought too much attention to the area.

Some wealthy residents have reportedly fled their homes after Harry and Meghan's arrival, claiming that Montecito is no longer as quiet and private as it once was.

The way people seem to be in a rush to move away from Harry and Meghan is a real black eye for the couple, an unnamed source said.

Ironically, the couple has also been trying to build their image as caring individuals, but their neighbors are not buying it.

After all, they are aware that Prince Harry and Markle have been chasing paydays ever since they quit the firm.

Everything they do paints them as crybaby, money-grubbing, snooty show-offs.

Now, even wealthy people, who normally fawn and gush over royalty, apparently can't wait to move out of their neighborhood, the unnamed source concluded.

Harry and Meghan's neighbors are reportedly not thrilled that Montecito is getting all this unwanted attention.

Most of the residents in the neighborhood may be rich, but they prefer to be discreet.

Unlike Harry and Meghan, who've turned their property into the White House with all their security and black Cadillac Escalades driving in and out, blocking the narrow roads, another source claimed.

It remains unclear why DeGeneres and her wife are selling their home or if Harry and Meghan will follow suit.

However, the Montecito enclave continues to attract wealthy celebrities and entertainment titans, making it a highly sought-after location.
