Prince Harry’s Marriage to Meghan Markle Made Him Distant and Miserable on Royal Tours, Says Royal Photographer

According to acclaimed royal photographer Arthur Edwards, Prince Harry became distant and miserable on royal tours after he married Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex has had a difficult relationship with the media, and called out internet trolls and correspondents for using the misogynistic term “Megxit”.

Edwards, who has an MBE for Outstanding Services to Newspapers, reflected on his time following the royals abroad and described how Harry's demeanor changed after meeting Meghan.

“They're very friendly, and so was Harry until he met Meghan and then he became very very distant.

It was miserable,” Edwards told the I've Got News For You podcast.

“In the end, I didn't do Harry's tours.

I didn't do Harry's tour of Australia, not with Meghan.

I didn't do Harry's tour of South Africa with Meghan.

I just find it very depressing with them, they just hated the media and it was miserable.

So I ducked out of them and instead I went with Charles to New Zealand and places like that.”

On the other hand, Edwards described how he had a much better relationship with Prince Charles and Camilla, even calling the Prince of Wales his hero.

“I've been working with them for years now, they speak to me and we normally have a little chat,” he said.

“Camilla is the loveliest, nicest person you'd ever want to meet.

She's just an absolute joy to work with.

It's kind of got beyond I'm the photographer, and they're the subject.”

Harry's relationship with his brother Prince William has reportedly also been frosty, after the Sussexes gave an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, where Meghan alleged that an unnamed royal family member had made comments about the colour of Archie's skin.

Edwards addressed the rumours of a rift, suggesting, “it's really serious, William is so angry with the way Harry has performed.

While he's married to Meghan I think it's almost impossible that's going to get healed.

She's set a completely different agenda for Harry now.”

In October, Harry and Meghan allegedly had a huge fight while they were in New York.

The couple argued over their daughter Lilibet's christening venue, and the tape allegedly caught the Sussexes fighting.

“What started off as Harry voicing some concerns spiralled into the nastiest fight they've ever had,” a source claimed.

“What's worse, their trip was being taped for some TV show, so they were wired and the fight was caught on audio.”

The source claimed that Prince Harry and Markle previously agreed to have Lilibet's christening in London, but the Duke of Sussex allegedly started to have some doubts.

When he told his wife about what he was thinking, Markle became upset.

“Markle doesn't care about Prince Harry's feelings because all she wants is for her daughter to also have a royal christening just like Archie.

A royal christening is a recipe for disaster,” the source said.

“To be honest, he'd prefer to have a small, hassle-free christening for Lilibet in California.”

Following the couple's heated argument, Markle allegedly stormed out of the room and left Prince Harry.

That night, Markle left her husband looking like a fool when they went out to dinner.

“According to the source, things were so bad between Prince Harry and Markle that they ended up not talking to each other for 24 hours.”
