Kim Kardashian’s Crime Podcast Takes Over Spotify’s Top Spot

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has made a successful foray into the world of podcasting with her new true crime series, “The System.”

The show, which delves into the case of Kevin Keith, an Ohio man who was sentenced to death for committing a triple murder before being granted life without parole, has already shot to the top of Spotify's most popular podcasts list.

Despite only two episodes being released since the show's launch on October 3rd, Kardashian's massive following – she boasts 331 million Instagram followers – has helped her overtake long-time fan favorite, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” for the top spot.

This is quite an achievement, considering that Rogan's show has held the number one position for years.

In contrast, 's podcast, “Archewell Audio,” which debuted at number one last month, has slipped down to fourth place.

The Duchess of Sussex's latest episode, in which she discussed the portrayal of East Asian women in movies, has been met with criticism from some quarters.

Trending:

Glasgow comedian Leo Kurz slammed Markle as an “insufferably woke, race-baiting, self-obsessed grifter” for her critique of the depiction of Asian women in films like “Kill Bill” and “Austin Powers.”

Kurz argued that these movies are not meant to be taken seriously and that nobody thinks their portrayal of Asians has any bearing on real life.

He went on to say that Markle's podcast is “spreading dangerous myths” and that nobody wants to listen to her.

Piers Morgan, a former colleague of Markle's on the TV show “Good Morning Britain,” also criticized her for claiming to be a princess when she was never actually granted the title.

Despite marrying , Markle's career on her son 's birth certificate was listed as “Princess of the United Kingdom,” but she cannot be known as “Princess Meghan” as she was not born into the royal family.

Morgan accused Markle of trading off her royal titles to make herself rich and wondered if there will come a time when King Charles decides to put a stop to it.

In the meantime, Kardashian's podcast continues to dominate the charts, thanks in no small part to her legion of fans.

“The System” promises to be an intriguing exploration of a complex legal case, and with Kardashian at the helm, it is sure to attract plenty of attention.

Whether it can maintain its position at the top of the podcasting world remains to be seen, but for now, it is a clear winner.
