Meghan and Harry Stripped of Titles After Editing Queen’s Speech for Netflix Documentary
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have had their titles stripped after allegedly distorting the truth in their Netflix docuseries.
According to a source, members of the British Parliament are discussing sanctions against the couple for editing the late Queen's Speech.
The question now is what punishment should be meted out to the couple?
Some people believe that only Meghan should be punished as she is the mastermind behind the changes, leaving Harry alone.
What do you think?
The first three episodes of the six-part docuseries aired on Thursday, offering an intimate glimpse into the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as discussing the British monarchy and the Commonwealth.

However, the documentary has come under fire for editing the Queen's 21st birthday speech to change the meaning of her statement entirely.
Voice coach Susie Ashfield noted on TikTok that in the first episode, the Queen's Speech was included, in which she declared that her whole life shall be devoted to your service and to the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.
However, in the third episode, the Queen's words were edited so that she is heard saying, I declare before you all that my whole life shall be devoted to the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.
The words “your service and” were removed, changing the meaning of the Queen's speech.
Ashfield, who is a supporter of the royal family, noted that just removing a few words changes the meaning of the statement entirely.
She asked her viewers, “Did you hear the difference?”
and added, “I suppose if you are going to be speaking and it will be recorded, there is a chance you will get misquoted.
Your words might be taken out of context, or in this case, some part might be removed to change the meaning of the statement itself.”
One of Ashfield's TikTok viewers commented, “Christ, it feels like the whole Netflix series is going to be dishonest.”
Another added, “I thought I was imagining it.
I've heard her speech many times and I was almost sure it wasn't the same.”
Others defended the docuseries, stating, “So we're not okay with editing, but we're okay with imperialism.”
The speech was shown in the program as guests discussed the queen and the commonwealth.
In 2021, the queen stripped the LA-based pair of their royal patronages and Harry of his honorary military roles after a 12-month review of Mexit.
The couple were accused of disrespecting the monarch when a spokesperson for the couple said, “We can all live a life of service.
Service is universal.”
Harry and Meghan have now been accused of wreaking havoc with their Netflix doc, in which the Duke declares a war was waged on his wife, claiming Meghan received no support from his family.
However, in one awkward scene in which the suit star performs a mock curtsy as she recalls meeting the queen for the first time, body language expert Judy James reckoned in a message to the queen, “He then said, ‘I will continue to be the same man who holds his country dear and dedicates his life to supporting the causes, charities, and military communities that are so important to me.'”
The second installment of the Paris Netflix series consisting of three episodes will drop on Thursday on Netflix at 8 a.m. UK time.
The controversy surrounding the documentary is likely to continue, with many questioning the editing choices made by the producers.
As the fallout from this scandal continues, it remains to be seen what consequences the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will face for their actions.
