Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix docu-series is reportedly facing delays due to a lack of content.

Royal expert Neil Sean has claimed that it is Netflix, and not the couple, who are behind the decision to stall the release.

According to a source, there just isn't enough content for the series, despite the Invictus Games in the Netherlands and some footage in New York.

However, the pair are not allowed to use footage from the Queen's State Funeral.

Sean also suggested that the couple may have had to slow their plans for a reality series.

“It appears that Harry and Meghan are having something of a rethink about this particular project,” he said.

The Royal commentator claimed that the couple need to do something radical to remain in the spotlight after returning to their celebrity lives in the US.

The delay of the docu-series has led to concerns that it may never see the light of day.

The Invictus Games documentary also seems to be far from being finished.

Netflix, which is seeing its subscribers dwindling on a daily basis, needs big hit shows to retain its audience.

Neil suggested that there is even a danger that the docuseries could suffer the same fate as Meghan's animated series Pearl, which was canned amid a series of cuts at the streaming giant.

A former Team Meghan representative has claimed that Meghan and have no chance of returning to the royal family.

TV presenter Christo Fufos stated that refused to meet them due to a worry that any conversations they may have during the time together will end up in a podcast or in Harry's latest memoir.

“So I'm not sure if there's a way back, certainly in the eyes of their family, because there's a worry that's going to end up being the next revelation that they'll try to monetize,” he said.

Fufos also claimed that the couple had reduced themselves to “cheap reality stars” and that they were “the Duke and Duchess of Netflix.”

An article published by Page Six revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are having major doubts over whether their planned Netflix content can go out with significant changes.

Both individuals were part of the editing team on the show and had given their final approval to the content months before the death of the Queen.

A source claimed that Harry and Meghan want the series to be held until next year, and they want to stall it.

With the delay in the release of the docu-series, Netflix needs to find returning vehicles, things that the audience allegedly wants to watch like Drag Race, Real Housewives, comedy specials, and meaningful documentaries.

If the streaming giant feels that the docuseries does not rate well for them, it simply won't be shown.
