Duchess of Cambridge Regrets Christmas Outfit Choice

The Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine, is renowned for her classic, regal style.

Her fashion choices range from ball gowns to casual looks, and she has successfully managed to transition her personal style into looks that work well in her role as the future Queen Consort.

Although she adheres to tradition, which includes a more modest look than she may have had outside of the royal fold, Catherine always puts her own stylish touch on her fashion choices.

From experimenting with her hair colour to her large array of colourful coats, she has been able to pull off countless timeless looks.

However, even the fashion-forward Duchess has made a few mistakes.

One such mistake was her outfit choice for a Christmas public appearance.

Trending:

On Christmas Day in 2019, and Catherine stepped out, along with other senior royals, for the royal family annual Christmas walk to attend service at St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, and their oldest children joined them.

It was their first time participating in the royal tradition of walking to church flanked by spectators, and the Duchess dressed and perfectly for the occasion.

Both kids wore adorable, coordinating dark green ensembles, with George in a smart little suit and Charlotte in a green coat that looked like it could have come right out of the Duchess's own closet.

The Duchess, as usual, looked amazing in her own outfit for the day, a heavy, grey Catherine Walker faux fur coat with a green hat, bag and heels.

However, apparently, she wasn't a huge fan of the look.

In chatting with a 19-year-old royal fan named Rachel Anvil, the Duchess revealed that she'd chosen the wrong look for the unseasonal warm weather.

“Catherine was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot,” Rachel's mother told the Metro.

“I really shouldn't have worn this.”

Despite the regrettable outfit choice, proved to be a hit with royal fans.

She cut seat for the Queen and hugged members of the crowd as she walked hand in hand with her mother.

The little Princess also hilariously refused to hand over a bouquet of roses to a royal aide, which she'd been given by a star-struck fan.

Princess Charlotte was also treated to a specially made doll from a member of the crowd and hugged a royal fan who was waiting outside the church in a wheelchair.

The Duchess of Cambridge is known for her fashion choices, and even though she regrets her Christmas Day outfit choice, she still managed to look stunning.
