Although William can be seen looking ahead into the distance, the family is holding hands, emphasizing their close bond.

While Kensington Palace has not confirmed where in Norfolk the photo was taken, it is believed to have been shot at Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate.

During the Covid pandemic, Kate and William homeschooled their children from the Georgian country house in the village of Anmer.

Anmer Hall holds special significance for William, as the Queen gifted the 10-bedroom house to him and Kate as a wedding gift.

The Prince has a connection to the country pile stretching back to his childhood, when Anmer Hall was home to the family of Hugh Van Kutsem Senior, a late university friend of King Charles.

The then Prince of Wales would visit the stately hall, which was built in 1802, with Princes William and Harry when they were children.

This is not the first time that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have used Anmer Hall as their Christmas card photo location.

Last year's photo was also shot at the estate, with the family posing in front of a pile of firewood.

The photo released this year is in keeping with those of the past, with the Waleses appearing relaxed and happy.

The family's close bond is emphasized by their hand-holding, and all five members are dressed casually in comfortable clothing.

Meanwhile, King Charles and Queen Consort chose a photograph taken at a Highland gathering for their Christmas card this year.

Buckingham Palace released the picture on Sunday, which was selected for the couple's first Christmas card since Charles became King.

The image, taken by award-winning photographer Sam Hussein, shows Charles and smiling at the Bremer Royal Highland Gathering.

The photo is a nod to the couple's love of Scotland, where they often spend their summer holidays.

The release of the Cambridge family's Christmas card photo is eagerly anticipated each year, with fans of the royal family always keen to see the latest image.

This year's photo is sure to be a hit, with the family looking happy and relaxed as they stroll through the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
