Meghan Markle’s Estranged Family Members Speak Out

's distant family members were shocked to learn of their relation to the Duchess of Sussex just before the royal wedding.

Inside Edition spoke to Markle's cousins on her mother's side, the Raglins from Georgia.

They watched the wedding together and hoped to one day welcome Meghan and husband to Georgia.

However, one of 's family members doesn't anticipate a warm reunion with the Duchess of Sussex, saying they likely won't ever talk again.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the relative claimed in a new interview that Markle developed the belief that she's above estranged family after becoming a royal back in 2018.

“We're clearly in different social classes and we won't ever speak again,” the family member told Fox News on Wednesday.

Claiming the estrangement is Markle's choice, the anonymous relative noted they have zero plans to chase after someone who doesn't want to talk to them.

Markle's strained relationship with the family has been well documented over recent years, notably leading up to her and Harry's wedding when her father Thomas Markle skipped the ceremony at the last minute following a staged photo scandal.

The former Hollywood Lighting director, now 76, also revealed the contents of a letter Meghan had sent him following her royal nuptials.

In addition to Thomas, who's been critical of his daughter and son-in-law, the Duchess' half-sister Samantha Markle has also repeatedly slammed her estranged sibling.

Moving on to other news, Meghan Markle's Spotify podcast Archetypes ended this week, but a royal expert has suggested that the series' lacklustre performance on the streaming platform may be making executives very nervous.

Writing for News Australia, expert Daniela Elsa slammed the Duchess of Sussex's podcast that ran for 12 weeks starting in August 2022, saying that it's sure to have left Spotify executives nervous after it failed to perform.

Elsa noted, “If Books Could Kill” is a podcast about airport bestsellers by Michael Hobbs and Peter Shamshiri.

It's only released three episodes so far, yet at the time of writing was beating Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex's podcast Archetypes on the Spotify charts.

She then added, “After its 12-week run, there just might be a few nervous executives at Spotify, you know, the ones who paid a reported $32 million to sign up Meghan and husband , the Duke of Sussex.”

Elsa went on to explain how the hype around Archetypes died down soon after its opening success, writing, “Despite kicking off in late August amid much fanfare, including Times Square billboards and briefly taking out the number one podcast spot, the Archetypes launch bang has been reduced to a puttering whimper, with the show currently down in the 31st most popular slot on the streaming platform.”

The expert also highlighted that not a single one of Archetypes' dozen episodes is in the top 100 episode chart either.

In conclusion, Meghan Markle's estranged family members have spoken out about their strained relationship with the Duchess of Sussex, claiming that she has developed a belief that she's above her estranged family after becoming a royal.

Meanwhile, Meghan's Spotify podcast Archetypes ended this week, but it failed to perform as expected, leaving some Spotify executives nervous about their investment in the Duchess and her husband Prince Harry.
