Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, the royal twins of Denmark, celebrated their 10th birthday recently, and the Danish Royal Palace marked the occasion by sharing a series of sweet new photos of the siblings.

The portraits, taken by photographer Fran Voigt, were shared on the royal family’s website and Instagram account.

Fans couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between the twins and their parents, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.

The photos show the siblings’ strong bond, with one capturing a sweet moment of Prince Vincent with his arm over Josephine’s shoulder, exchanging a look.

In another photo, the twins wrap their arms around each other and give playful grins to the camera.

The youngest children of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also starred in their solo portraits.

Prince Vincent wore a white shirt and smart trousers, while Princess Josephine donned a yellow gingham two-piece with a gold bow in her hair.

Fans took to Instagram to express their amazement at how much the twins resemble their parents.

Trending:

One fan wrote, “How on earth did the Jeans decide they’d get twins, where each is a replica of each parent?

They hit the jackpot!”

While another added, “This is a mini version of Frederik and Mary, at its best.”

Other users commented that Vincent and Josephine look like mini Frederik and mini Mary.

The twins were born on January 8th, 2011, at Rigshaw Hospitalet in Copenhagen.

They were baptised in Holmes Church on April 14th, 2011, and were named Vincent Frederik Minique Alexander and Josephine Sophia Ivalo Matilda.

Their 10th birthday also marked the reveal of their royal monograms, which feature Christian V’s royal crown over the children’s first initial.

Josephine’s design is described as strong in italics with a poetic and vibrant expression, while Vincent’s consists of a fixed classic left wing combined with a legend forward-looking double line to the right.

In 2019, Princess Mary captured portraits of the twins to mark their 8th birthday.

Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are the third and fourth children of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, joining big brother Prince Christian, 15, and big sister Princess Isabella, 13.

The Danish royals had to isolate at Frederik VIII’s palace at Amalienborg in early December, after Prince Christian tested positive for Covid-19.

Thankfully, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, and their other three children all tested negative for the virus.
