Meghan Markle Pauses Release of Spotify Podcast Archetypes During Mourning Period for Queen Elizabeth II

Meghan Markle has postponed the release of her controversial podcast, Archetypes, as a sign of respect for the mourning period following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The next episode of the podcast, which was due to stream on Tuesday, has been delayed, but the subsequent broadcast is set for September 20th, the day after the state funeral for the Queen at Westminster Abbey in central London.

The delay of the podcast has sparked fresh tension between King Charles III and his self-exiled son and daughter-in-law, as the monarch forbade Meghan from joining the family at the Queen's deathbed in Balmoral, Scotland.

A source revealed that the King is aware of Meghan's podcast and is concerned about the prospect of a new episode being released so soon after the Queen's passing.

“It's the last thing the King needs to be thinking about at this time, but make no mistake, it's a very serious problem,” the source said.

“The King does not want the Duchess of Sussex discussing anything about the family's interactions or events surrounding this very solemn occasion.”

King Charles III is expected to ask aides to lobby Prince Harry to convince Meghan to end the podcast permanently.

However, the monarch is worried that Meghan may not fully understand the gravity of the situation.

“He knows Meghan is steadfast in her view and believes she and not the family is in control of what she says publicly,” the insider added.

“But the King hopes that common sense, politeness, and restraint will ensure Meghan makes the right decision not to discuss anything about the Windsor family and his mother's death.”

Despite the King's concerns, someone close to the podcast warned that if Meghan proceeds with her podcast, it would be difficult for her not to discuss the events of last week.

A message on the podcast's Spotify page confirmed that new episodes of Archetypes will be paused during the official mourning period for Queen Elizabeth II.

Markle has already released three episodes of her podcast on Spotify, featuring guests such as Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, and Mindy Kaling.

Other guests who are set to appear on Archetypes include Margaret Cho, Lisa Ling, Constance Wu, and Ziwei.

On Friday, King Charles III addressed the nation for the first time following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

He spoke about his love for his children Prince Harry and Prince William while discussing their new titles.

Lady Colin Campbell, a royal commentator, praised the King's speech, saying, “I thought he was also brilliant in the way he love bombed Harry and Meghan and made it absolutely clear that they have no parts to play.”

Lady Colin continued, “And I know they don't want to have a part to play, but I don't think there's much of a way back for them even if they did want to have a part to play.

It's a very difficult situation for the family and it's a very difficult situation for the father.”

As the world mourns the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, tensions within the royal family continue to simmer.
