Kate Wins Praise for Poignant Remembrance Film While Meghan’s Outfit Sparks Criticism on Veterans Day

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has received high praise on social media after appearing in a film to mark the Royal British Legion centenary.

In the film, Kate appeared alongside 10-year-old Cub Scout Emily Edge and Italy star veteran Colonel David Blumobe.

As joint president of the Scout Association, Kate awarded Emily a new Scout's Centenary Remembrance badge for creating a poppy display for her local church.

The initiative, created by the Duchess, was designed to commemorate 100 years of the Royal British Legion and awarded to those who take a meaningful part in remembrance.

Royal fans took to social media to gush over Kate's sincerity and naturalness, with one Twitter user writing, “She has the knack of drawing out the best of people.

The chat between Kate, Emily, and Colonel Blumobe took place at the Royal Hospital Chelsea earlier this month and the video was released on Friday.

In the film, Emily told the Duchess what she had learned about the roles that the Scouts played as part of the wartime effort, including helping with the evacuation of young children from cities and taking part in fire watches and harvests.

Kate spoke about the vital role that remembrance has played within our society over the past 100 years.

And the star veteran reflected on the importance of remembrance to him, having served in Italy during the Second World War.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle has been spotted attending a gala in New York City to celebrate Veterans Day.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were photographed celebrating at an army base in New Jersey, where they met with service members from all six branches of the military and hosted a luncheon for service members and their spouses.

However, Meghan's appearance this time has met with many objections.

They are both a disgrace.

She is only associated with Harry by marriage and has no reason to be involved in any of this.

As for Harry, he has done nothing to warrant him being given such an honor.

Meghan's outfit also drew criticism, with her black Giorgio Armani faux wrap dress priced at $1,695 (£1,264) attracting particular attention.

The dress, made from stretched jersey, features a flattering draping and surplus neckline, with an A-line silhouette, long sleeves, shoulder pads, and a seamed waist.

It is made in Italy and available to buy from Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

The dress matched the Giorgio Armani heels on Meghan's feet, which retail at $675 (£503.50).

Meghan's three-day NYC wardrobe, including £54,000 worth of jewellery, cost a huge sum.

While Meghan's appearance may have caused controversy, Kate's poignant film has been widely praised.
