Meghan Markle Disappointed Over Losing Award to Friends Reunion
The highly publicized interview of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year has been a topic of discussion ever since.
The couple's revelations made headlines and continue to generate buzz across various media platforms.
Recent tabloids claimed that the Duchess of Sussex expected to win an award for the interview, but was disappointed and hurt that it lost to HBO Max's Friends, The Reunion.
A source told one tabloid that the interview with Oprah failed to make an impact at this year's People's Choice Awards.
Meghan Markle reportedly thought that returning to Hollywood as a duchess would allow her to climb over the likes of Jennifer Aniston in the industry's hierarchy.
However, with the recent win of the Friends special, the insider stated that the Wanderlust actress's profile remains higher than the Suits' alum.

This, thus, makes her more furious over Aniston's award.
Adding insult to injury, the Murder Mystery star allegedly repeatedly rebuffs the Duchess of Sussex's invitations.
She is said to have rejected the former working royal's invite to come to dinner in their new Montecito home.
Previously, an insider claims that Meghan's attempt to cozy up to her one-time co-star, Jennifer Aniston, is just one example of how the royal's attempts at making A-list friends has backfired.
When Meghan was cast in Horrible Bosses, she had all these visions of Jen seeing how amazing she was and becoming good friends, says a source.
That didn't even come close to happening, Jen barely even noticed she was there, and Meghan was devastated to find out her part had been cut to a mere 30 seconds.
After Meghan's Blink and You'll Miss It part in the 2011 comedy, it's claimed the former actress was so disappointed about her reduced role, she bad-mouthed the movie and its stars.
Meghan became disenfranchised by the whole thing and slammed it as a bad movie anyway, saying she knows she's just as good as Jen, she'll show her one day – that kind of thing, says the source.
Unfortunately for Meghan, it's thought that those complaints got back to Jen.
And when Meghan and Harry relocated to Los Angeles earlier this year and the Duchess made moves to build a friendship with the former Friends star, she was rebuffed.
It's not the first time tension between Meghan, 39, and the much-loved and respected Jen, 51, has been reported.
Earlier this year, Meghan put out feelers to work with Brad Pitt and his Plan B production company.
At the time, an insider told that Jennifer was suspicious of her motives.
Back in the early 2000s when Meghan was first making a name for herself, she was reported as saying she'd like to be the next Mrs. Pitt.
Word gets around in Hollywood and Jen heard how Meghan had designs on her man during an intensely painful part of her life, so she is suspicious of her motives, the source reveals.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not get £18 million, $25 million, from Spotify after the unpopular first episode of their podcast.
The first episode of the podcast is likely to have been less popular than Spotify and the couple initially expected, media lawyer Ian Penman, who is an expert in music streaming contracts, said.
He added that people could draw a conclusion that if the company hasn't asked for the next episode of the podcast, then maybe they did not have the popularity that either Meghan and Harry expected or indeed Spotify anticipated.
Representatives of the couple are yet to comment on it.
Penman said that the streaming giant is unlikely to have lost out on a huge amount of money.
According to him, Spotify most likely paid the couple a small advance and retained the right to back out of the full $25 million if the first episode didn't make the cut.
