Princess Catherine Invited to Represent Chelsea Flower Show’s Next Event by Sir Nicholas Bacon

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, celebrating its 100th year, is currently being hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

This event has become a global showcase for horticultural excellence, attracting visitors and exhibitors from all over the world.

The Royal family also considers it an important annual event, with many members stopping by to take it in.

Sir Nicholas Bacon, a member of the Royal family, recently disclosed that he had a private chat with Princess Catherine and invited her to represent the Chelsea Flower Show at the upcoming event.

The spokesperson stated that even though Princess Catherine has not yet indicated whether she accepts the invitation or not, she arrived at the ceremony quite early and looked lovely.

On the event's opening day, attended the show to attend the first-ever children's picnic in the morning.

Later on, King Charles, Queen , Princess Alexandra, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent all arrived to take in the flowers.

Kate, 41, looked radiant in a silk Me Plus M shirt dress, which her mother Carol has also worn previously, as she turned up unannounced at the London event, organised by the Royal Horticultural Society.

Wearing her thick brunette locks in loose curls, the mother-of-three paired the dress with her Costenaire Carinae Espadrille wedges and £165 Zoraida leaf earrings.

Kate demonstrated her natural flair with children as she joined school pupils at the event's first-ever children's picnic, where she shared the best thing about her job as a royal and revealed why she's not allowed to write her name down.

The princess met youngsters from 10 schools taking part in the RHS campaign for school gardening as they sat down to eat, before visiting three of this year's show gardens with them.

On her first visit to the world-famous horticultural show since 2019, the future queen and the children took part in a bug hunt, helped to plan a home-grown meal and discovered how gardens can support well-being, something the princess has been highlighting for several years.

This year's Chelsea Flower Show was filled with flowers as far as the eye could see and even a picnic, but there was only one question a curious schoolchild wanted to ask when he met the Princess of Wales at the event.

Do you make the law?

No, Kate smiled, before responding, the Prime Minister makes the laws.

Another asked her what it was like being a princess.

She replied, you have to work hard, but you know the best thing about it is meeting kiddies like you.

They help support all the different people in the country, showcase all the amazing work being done and look after everyone.

Asked what her favourite colour was, she encouraged the children to guess, grinning as they correctly answered green.

In the Royal Entomological Society garden, Kate and the children enjoyed an insect eye view of the landscape, which was designed by RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winner Tom Massey.

The picnic aims to bring gardening and nature into the lives of more children, a topic Kate has been passionate about for several years.

Arriving at the event in a pink dress by Me Plus M, she sat down on a picnic blanket with children from St Augustine's Primary School in Hammersmith, asking them, are any of you keen gardeners?

Do you get the chance to plant things at school?

What sort of things do you grow and then do you get to eat them?

The children discussed vegetables and herbs and the princess told them, there's a plant that smells like chocolate.

I remember my granny showing me that when I was little.

It has very dark leaves and you can't eat it, but it has very dark leaves and you rub it and it smells like chocolate.

Told the pupils were growing sunflowers at school, she said, they get so big, don't they?

Revealing, Louis is growing broad beans at school.

You put them in a cup and you can see them roots growing.

They get big flowers.

Overall, the Chelsea Flower Show is an important event for the Royal family and the horticultural industry.

Princess Catherine's potential representation of the event would be a great honor and could help to bring more attention to the importance of gardening and nature in children's lives.
