Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s plan to turn their children into TV superstars has been met with criticism from a royal biographer.

The couple, who stepped down as working royals and moved to the US last year, are reportedly working on a documentary series featuring their lives in California as part of a multi-million deal with Netflix.

Duncan Larkham, speaking to Bella magazine, suggested that the couple's two children, and , are very likely to be on screen.

He questioned whether the couple were going to turn their children into TV superstars just because Netflix is paying them a lot of money.

Larkham also raised concerns about the content of the series, suggesting that if the sums of money involved are accurate, Netflix would want more than footage of doing the washing up.

He explained that the streaming giant would want to show some of the reality of life inside the world of Harry and Meghan, including their arguments and rows.

He warned that the revelations that could come out from conversations being filmed and broadcast could be damaging to the couple's image.

The news comes as Mike Tindall, married to Zara Phillips, was seen at a variety of events throughout June.

Tindall, a former rugby ace, was captured on camera appearing to discipline an errant Prince Louie during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

However, Tindall's mates have defended him, saying that he was simply keeping the future King's children in line.

Louie, 4, was the unexpected star of the show and lit up the celebration with his expressive facial expressions.

And during the Queen's pageant, it appears Mike was forced to intervene.

Snap has captured Tindall looking directly into Louie's eyes and pointing at his, in a clear I'm the big dog here kind of way.

Commenting on the snap on Mike's The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast, friends James Haskell and Alex Payne asked what he had meant by it, reports People.

Haskell began by saying that Mike was enjoying keeping the future King's children in line.

Payne then asked, what were you actually doing at that point?

Mike laughed and responded, I actually can't remember, I can't remember what he was doing.

He's such a good character he is, Louie.

Louie, he was just wanting to have fun.

And my two daughters are always mischievous, so it's trying to keep a lid on.

There were a lot of sweets out back though, so there was a real sugar high.

Larkham criticized Meghan and Harry's decision to showcase their day-to-day lives, including their children, in exchange for money.

He wondered how a couple that are so fiercely protective of their privacy could open their doors up to Netflix for a docu-series.

He added that the contradictions are enormous, as the couple had previously stated that they wanted to go and live a quieter, lower profile life.

He suggested that the production in partnership with the streaming giant is a desperate move, which comes in contradiction to the couple's fight for privacy.
