Princess Beatrice Set to Pay Tribute to Queen in Naming Her Baby Girl

, granddaughter of II, is expected to pay tribute to her grandmother by naming her firstborn daughter Elizabeth.

The bookmakers at William Hill have made the name Elizabeth the favorite at 5-1.

Beatrice and her husband, Eduardo Mopeli Mozzi, welcomed their baby girl on Saturday, who is now 11th in line to the throne and the Queen's 12th great-grandchild.

Initially, Florence was at the top of the list at nine halves, but there has been a real shift towards naming the baby after the Queen.

Elizabeth has now become a red-hot favorite, while Florence has eased out to 6-1.

Arabella, currently at 11 halves, has also seen some support.

Naming the baby Elizabeth would be a sweet nod to Beatrice's grandmother, the Queen, and would no doubt delight royal fans.

Beatrice already has Elizabeth as one of her middle names.

Royal enthusiasts on Twitter have speculated that Philippa or Sarah, after Beatrice's mother, could also be included in the name.

This news comes after and named their daughter earlier this year, after the Queen's childhood nickname.

However, a royal expert claimed that the Queen was not asked but informed by the couple about the name.

Giles Brandreth, a royal biographer, joined a heated debate on Good Morning Britain after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hit back at a palace source who claimed they didn't ask for permission to use the nickname.

Meanwhile, Ladbrokes has named Arabella as the current favorite for Beatrice's baby name at 3-1, followed by Matilda at 4-1 and Florence at 9-1.

Buckingham Palace announced the arrival of Beatrice's daughter on Monday, stating that both mother and child are doing well.

Beatrice is already a stepmother to Eduardo's young son Wolfie, and her younger sister had a baby boy in February.

The sisters will be thrilled to have their children so close together in age and share the experience of being first-time mothers.

Beatrice and Eduardo tied the knot in a secret lockdown wedding in July 2020.

The couple must be overjoyed with the arrival of their daughter, and the family has thanked all the staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their wonderful care.
