Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth Clash Ahead of Royal Wedding

In a new book titled The New Royals, royal expert Katie Nicholl sheds light on the relationship between Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth.

According to Nicholl, the two clashed during the planning process for Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

One incident occurred during a menu tasting at Windsor Castle, where Meghan reportedly got upset with a staff member.

The Queen walked in and scolded Meghan, saying, “In this family, we don't speak to people like that.”

But that wasn't the only point of contention between the Duchess of Sussex and the monarch.

Meghan also surprised the Queen with her wedding dress, causing some tension.

In other news, the decision for Meghan not to travel to Balmoral Castle on the day of the Queen's death reportedly caused an argument among members of the royal family.

While senior members rushed to Scotland following an announcement of the Queen's ill health, Meghan remained at Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate.

The decision for Prince Harry to travel alone was reportedly made by King Charles, leading to delays in specially chartered flights to Scotland.

GB News Royal Reporter Cameron Walker revealed that tensions between key members of the royal family resulted from the decision for Meghan to remain in Windsor.

Despite this, Prince Harry and Meghan made numerous appearances during the 10-day mourning period for the late Queen Elizabeth II.

They joined the new Prince and Princess of Wales to greet mourners in Windsor, marking their first public appearance together in over two years.

Prince Harry remained present during royal ceremonies, including the procession of the Queen's coffin to Westminster Hall and the late estate funeral service.

In tribute to the late Queen, he said, “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings.”

He also acknowledged his father's new role as King Charles III.

The decision for Meghan not to travel to Balmoral Castle on the day of the Queen's death may have caused some tension in the royal family, but it did allow the Duchess of Cambridge to remain at Andalade Cottage with her children during the difficult time.
