Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been living in a luxurious Beverly Hills mansion that belongs to Hollywood tycoon Tyler Perry, according to Daily Mail TV.

The couple have kept a low profile since their move to Los Angeles, but sources say they have been residing in the $18 million property with their one-year-old son since March.

It is not clear whether they are renting the eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom Tuscan-style villa or staying there as guests, but there is no record of the mansion having been sold.

Perry, who is worth $600 million, is a mutual friend of the couple and .

Both the Sussexes and Perry consider Oprah their Hollywood godmother.

The Duke and Duchess are currently working on a documentary series with Oprah, while Perry has partnered with Oprah's own television channel in the past.

Oprah was even seen at the house Meghan and Harry are now staying at for Perry's son's christening party back in 2015.

Beverly Ridge Estates, where Perry's mansion is located, is an ultra-exclusive guard-gated community with just 14 homes.

It is close to the Van Nuys private airport and some of the most desirable private schools on the west side of Los Angeles.

Paris Hilton lived there for just under a year in 2004 after her former fiancé Paris Lettice bought her an 11,206 square foot mansion in December 2004.

Other local celebrities who have owned homes in the community include ex-spouses David and Carlton Jebbia, who starred on reality show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and had a burlesque room in their $22 million Gothic-style mansion.

It is also home to socialite Alexis Carson, the widow of popular talk show host Johnny Carson.

According to top Hollywood real estate agent Rochelle Mays of the Nerman & Associates agency, Beverly Ridge Estates is very prestigious and chic, with leases starting at around $20,000 and going up to $40,000 a month.

It costs around $16 million to buy a property there.

Meghan and Harry have been extremely cautious to keep their base in Los Angeles under wraps, with their team helping them choose the location for their transition wisely.

Beverly Ridge has its own guarded gate, and Perry's property has a gate of its own which is watched by their security team.

The couple have been spotted only a handful of times since their move to Los Angeles, first volunteering for a local charity dropping off food to locals who are at a high risk of catching coronavirus, as well as taking their beloved dogs out for a walk.

They have been extremely private about their move to the United States, and it is not clear whether they plan to stay there permanently.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that a biography about the couple is set to be released worldwide online on August 11, with a hard copy on sale from August 20.

The book has the full title Finding Freedom, Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, and will be published by Day Street Books.

The publisher reportedly had briefings with people close to the couple, and publication is likely to be serialized ahead of a full release.

It is no secret that Meghan and Harry have had a difficult time adjusting to royal life, and their decision to step down from their duties earlier this year caused a stir.

Their move to Los Angeles has been seen by some as a way for them to start fresh and live a more normal life away from the scrutiny of the British press.

As for their living situation, it seems that they have found the perfect hideaway in Tyler Perry's mansion.

With its stunning views of the city and exclusive location, it is no wonder that the couple has chosen to call it home.

Only time will tell what the future holds for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but for now, they seem to be enjoying their new life in the United States.
