Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton: The Common Ground

It's no secret that and have been compared to each other ever since the former became engaged to .

From their fashion sense to their personalities, people have been analyzing and contrasting the two women side by side.

However, it seems that there is one thing that they have in common – their taste in shoes.

The Commonwealth Day service was held at Westminster Abbey this afternoon, and both Meghan and Kate attended the event.

In many of the photos, the navy heels that they wore looked exactly the same, leading many people to believe that they had decided to wear matching shoes for the occasion.

However, upon closer inspection, they were actually different.

Meghan opted for Manolo Blahnik heels that cost £450, while Kate wore her trusty Rupert Sanderson Mallory pumps that she has been seen wearing on a number of occasions.

Despite the difference in brand, the similarities in style were undeniable.

In addition to her shoes, Meghan also wore a £895 war white Amanda Wackley coat and a matching hat by milliner Stephen Jones.

Her outfit was completed with a £550 Mulberry shoulder strap bag that matched her navy dress.

Kate, on the other hand, wore her Bula London coat and dress, which we last saw her in at the Afghanistan Service of Commemoration in 2015 when she was pregnant with .
