Meghan Markle to Pay Tribute to Princess Diana on Her Wedding Day

The upcoming royal wedding of and is the talk of the town, and with only a few months left until the big day, details about the ceremony are starting to emerge.

According to reports, will pay tribute to her future husband's late mother, , by incorporating some of her favorite flowers into her wedding bouquet.

It is believed that Meghan will use the flower Lily of the Valley, which was also featured in Diana's wedding bouquet when she walked down the aisle with in 1981.

The flower symbolizes trust and the return of happiness, and the tradition was sparked by Queen Victoria 177 years ago when she married Prince Albert.

In addition to the Lily of the Valley, it is speculated that Meghan's myrtle will come from Queen Victoria's 170-year-old garden.

A spokesperson from wedding planning site Bridebook told LUK, “We can certainly imagine Meghan incorporating myrtle into her bouquet, but doing so in her own unique way.”

Furthermore, it is predicted that fruit and vegetables in bouquets will be a big trend, and Meghan may choose to include the immature fruit of the myrtle prior to when it flowers.

These fruits are either a striking blue-black or yellow-amber color, which would brighten a bouquet and add a tasteful splash of color.

The leaves of the myrtle are also a beautiful glossy green and carry a sweet, spicy, orange scent.

It has also been reported that Baywatch star Priyanka Chopra will be one of Meghan's bridesmaids.

Meghan met Priyanka at a party in Toronto while filming her hit TV show, Suits.

After Harry and Meghan's engagement was announced, Priyanka was one of the first to share her congratulations on social media, writing, “Congratulations to my girl Meghan Markle and , I'm so happy for you Meg, you deserve the best always keep smiling that infectious smile.”

The wedding date has been confirmed by Kensington Palace's Twitter account.
