He has hinted that he might reveal secrets about his Royal relatives on the TV show, although he has not named any names.

During an interview before going into the I Am A Celeb camp, Mr Tindall hinted about how he might talk about his Royal relatives during his time on the show.

When asked the biggest misconception that he would like to dispel before going on to the show he responded in a mysterious and cryptic way, saying “nothing.

I am an open book.”

The former England international has his own podcast called The Good, The Bad and The Rugby where he has given away details of life inside the firm.

He has disclosed that there are several stories that people should know about the wife, including several lies and bullies that have never been mentioned before.

According to the rugby talent, it would send shockwaves over the world.

Mr Tindall will become the first member of the Royal Family to take part in the show in its 20-year history.

However, the former outside centre has admitted that it will be his family that he misses the most during his time in the Antipodean jungle.

The Yorkshire-born Mr Tindall is not classed as a working Royal, and Buckingham Palace has not commented on whether he has been granted permission to appear on the show.

However, it is thought that, despite his status, Mr Tindall would have had to discuss his appearance with the firm.

Mr Tindall flew to Australia last week ahead of filming for the show, which starts on ITV at 9pm Sunday.

He will join a star-studded lineup including 80s pop legend Boy George, former Radio 1 presenter Chris Moyles, Love Island's Olivia Attwood, and Owen Warner from Hollyoaks.

Coronation Street's Suclever, A Place in the Sun star Scarlett Douglas, stand-up comedian Bobatunde Alish, and Lioness star Jill Scott are also going down under.

It was announced on Monday that disgraced former Health Secretary Matt Hancock would be completing the line-up, earning him the wrath of Tory grandees and the withdrawal of the party whip.

Mr Tindall has his own fond memories of Australia, having won the Rugby World Cup there in November 2003 after beating the host nation 20-17 after extra time in Sydney.

He also met Zara during the tournament at the Manly Wharf bar in Sydney when the Royal was on a gap year.
