Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Safety Concerns: Police Called Nine Times to Montecito Home
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have been making headlines ever since they announced that they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family and relocating to California.
The couple has been in the news again this month, with reports surfacing that the police have been called to their new Montecito home nine times in as many months.
According to data obtained under the Freedom of Information laws by PA News Agency, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office has responded to calls at the property nine times since the couple moved in.
These calls were made in response to phone requests, alarm activations, and property crimes.
One of the incidents that made headlines was an intruder on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Montecito estate on Christmas Eve last year.
The Sussex couple had an intruder on their Montecito property twice over the Christmas holidays.

According to law enforcement sources, the intruder, Nicholas Brooks, 37, was caught trespassing on Christmas Eve but was allowed off with a warning by Santa Barbara County Sheriff officers.
He was arrested two days later when he trespassed on the property again and was charged with one count of misdemeanor trespassing.
During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke about their safety concerns after their security was reportedly revoked by the royal family.
Prince Harry explained that all he needed was enough money to pay for security to keep his family safe.
This has unsurprisingly led to conversations around the Sussex couple's safety.
In other news, Prince Harry is allegedly struggling with Meghan Markle focusing on fame and money, according to an insider who spoke with US Weekly.
The insider claimed that the Duke of Sussex feels homesick amidst the former actress's craving for media attention.
He wanted to start over and live a quieter life in Montecito away from the cameras, but Meghan is all about fame and money.
The magazine also reported that the prince is begging his wife to return to England, but she won't budge.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has been criticized for his recent speech at the United Nations on Nelson Mandela Day.
Meghan's half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. took a jibe at the prince's interest in politics during his appearance on GB News.
He said, “the Sussexes need to stick to rescue chickens in Montecito and stay out of politics.
You're going to a memorial for Mandela at the UN building which is an open invitation to anybody in the general public and then you start talking world peace and politics which has nothing to do with anything there at that point.”
Despite stepping down as senior members of the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to make headlines.
Their safety concerns have been a topic of conversation, with the police being called to their Montecito home nine times in as many months.
While the couple may have wanted to live a quieter life away from the cameras, it seems that they are still very much in the public eye.
