Meghan Markle’s Podcast Fails to Impress Listeners
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, launched her highly anticipated podcast series, Archetypes, earlier this week.
However, a new poll has revealed that readers are not interested in listening to it.
The first episode, titled “The Misconceptions of Ambition with Serena Williams,” saw Meghan speak to her tennis star friend about motherhood, pregnancy, and the connotations of ambition in women.
She also interviewed Dr. Laura Kay and shared personal stories about her struggle with ambition.
During the hour-long episode, Meghan gave insight into her life as a new mother, including how Archie escaped a fire during a royal tour in South Africa in 2019.
Archetypes was initially announced as a podcast that would investigate the labels that try to hold women back.

In a promotional video, Meghan promised to be her authentic self while having intimate and candid conversations with friends, historians, and experts.
The series is due to feature 12 episodes with Meghan talking to household names and experts about female stereotypes.
However, a poll conducted by a source showed that out of 15,493 respondents, only 2% said they would listen to Meghan's podcast series, while 98% answered no.
Hundreds of comments were left below the accompanying article as readers discussed the Duchess's latest venture.
Most readers commented that they would not be listening to Archetypes, with one user writing, “Life is too short to listen.”
Another user commented, “I have better things to do.”
Some readers even went so far as to cancel their Spotify subscription as a result of Meghan's podcast.
One user said, “No way, not wasting my time and have closed my account.”
While another commented, “Not only will I not listen, I'm not renewing my Spotify subscription.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a multi-year podcast partnership with Spotify after stepping down from their roles as senior working royals in 2020.
However, it seems that Meghan's latest venture has failed to impress listeners.
Netflix Demands Emergency Meetings with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
In other news, Netflix executives have reportedly been locked in emergency meetings with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry following public backlash.
This revelation was made in the entertainment newsletter The Anchor by an inside source.
According to the source, Harry and Meghan called an all-hands meeting with Netflix executives after the streaming giant faced criticism over the cancellation of their show, Pearl, and a dip in subscriber counts.
The couple was said to be deeply concerned about the optics of this and even Meghan wanted to talk to Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix.
This claim comes shortly after royal commentator Daniela Elza branded the couple completely unsuccessful in the US and argued that their novelty factor had worn off.
She admitted to news.com.au that they have to actually do something to prove themselves and can't just coast along on the whiff of a mothballed HRH here forevermore.
It remains to be seen what will come out of these emergency meetings, but it is clear that Netflix executives are feeling the pressure to deliver results with their partnership with Harry and Meghan.
In conclusion, Meghan Markle's podcast series may have failed to impress listeners, but it seems that the Duchess and her husband are still making waves in the entertainment industry.
As their partnership with Netflix continues, it remains to be seen what new ventures they will pursue and whether they will be successful in their endeavors.
