Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Release a Christmas Card Featuring Lilibet Diana?

and Meghan welcomed their second child, Diana, in June of this year but have yet to share a photo of her.

Unlike traditional royal babies, they opted out of sharing a snap of their newborn baby girl within days of her birth.

As weeks stretched into months, it became clear that the couple had no immediate plans to share photos of their little girl.

However, Woman's Day recently reported that there are clues suggesting the Duke and Duchess will share their daughter's first photo with the world very soon, and she probably won't be alone in the snap.

Each year, members of the royal family release Christmas cards that typically feature family portraits, often including royal children.

Despite no longer being working royals, Harry and Meghan have continued to join in on the tradition even after their bombshell royal exit in 2020.

Last year, they released their own Christmas card featuring a rare photo of them with their firstborn, , who is now two.

With Christmas just over a month away, royal watchers are hoping that the Sussexes will release a new card for 2021 featuring .

It would be the first photo ever released of Lilibet, who has never been seen in public despite massive public interest.

Meanwhile, , the only daughter of and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, may receive a unique title in the future.

When members of the royal family get married, they usually get a new royal title from the reigning monarch.

But may get an altogether different royal title one day that is incredibly unique, regardless of whether she marries or not, as she is the only daughter of .

As Princess Charlotte will one day be the daughter of the king, she may expect to inherit a specific royal title to reflect this.

The Princess Royal title is used for the eldest daughter of the British sovereign.

The title was first introduced to mimic the French royal title of Madame Royale back in the 1600s.

However, the title is not automatically given to the king or queen's eldest daughter, and it has to be bestowed by the monarch themselves.

The queen and Prince Philip's only daughter, Princess Anne, is the current Princess Royal.

Before Princess Anne, the title was held by King George VI's sister, Princess Mary.

According to royal expert and author Duncan Larcombe, the title of Princess Royal is traditionally bestowed on the eldest daughter of the monarch.

It is a title that remains for life, so Princess Charlotte will have to wait at least until the death of the current Princess Royal.

Princess Anne didn't get her Princess Royal title until the queen had been on the throne for 35 years.

Mr Larcombe added, “Princess Anne had to wait until 1987 before her mother the queen bestowed the title of Princess Royal on her, even though the title had been vacant since 1965.”

In contrast, Lilibet did not receive a royal title when she was born, but she still holds a place in line for the British throne.

On July 26, the official royal succession website was updated to show Lilibet as 8th in line to the British throne, following Harry and , who hold the 6th and 7th spots, respectively.

As for whether we will see Lilibet's first photo on a Christmas card this year, only time will tell.

But if Harry and Meghan do release a card featuring their daughter, it is sure to be a highly anticipated moment for fans around the world.
