Elton John and Sting on the Guest List for Harry and Meghan’s Big Day

The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is just around the corner, and preparations are in full swing.

The couple has been busy drawing up their 300-strong guest list for their big day at Windsor Castle on May 19th, which includes friends and family, as well as some big A-listers.

According to a royal source who spoke with Daily Star Online, two of the celebrities who have been invited to the wedding are Sir Elton John and Gordon Sumner, famously known as Sting.

Elton John is a close friend of Prince Harry and was one of Princess Diana's best friends.

He famously sang “Candle in the Wind” at her funeral.

It has been reported that he cancelled two gigs he had planned for the wedding weekend so he could attend the couple's big day.

Sting, on the other hand, is a good friend of Prince Charles and was also friends with Princess Diana.

He was awarded a CBE for his services to the music industry back in 2003 by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Both Elton John and Sting are expected to attend the wedding ceremony at St George's Chapel.

When asked about other guests attending the wedding, the royal source said, “There are lots of Harry and Meghan's friends who lots of us don't know.”

The big reveal of the guest list comes less than 100 days before the wedding, after Daily Star Online previously revealed what the weather forecast is predicted to be on the day.
