Harry Calls for 24-7 Female Officer for Meghan Markle’s Security
On February 12, an envelope containing white powder was sent to Kensington Palace, addressed to Prince Harry's fiancée, Meghan Markle.
Although the package was found to be harmless, police are treating it as a racist hate crime.
The incident has sparked security concerns ahead of the royal wedding on May 19.
Currently, Meghan is relying on a loan of two officers from Harry's own SO14 protection team, armed with 9mm Glock pistols and tasers, but she does not have her own guard.
This has led Harry to call for a dedicated 24-7 female officer for his fiancée.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, already has her own bodyguard, Emma Probert.
