Cambridge Children Attend First Day of School
The Cambridge children attended their first day of school at Lambrook School in Berkshire on Thursday, 8th September.
However, before the big day, they attended a settling-in session for pupils and parents on Wednesday, which was published with many images to the joy of royal admirers across the world.
Prince Louis, known to be mischievous at times, was determined not to be seen clutching his father's hand as he was dropped off for his first day of school.
The young prince strolled into the grounds of Lambrook School, near Ascot, holding just his mother's hand.
While competing for the attention of his youngest child with his other hand, Prince William is seen grasping Princess Charlotte's hand to his left side.
Now that he is old enough to attend school, Louis appears to feel that it is inappropriate to be seen holding hands with his father.

After holding out for a few moments, Prince William admits defeat and gently strokes the back of his son's head, which Louis then shakes off.
As the Cambridges approach closer to the school, the young prince shows no sign of nerves and breaks out a huge smile for the cameras.
As the family of five arrived at the school building, they were greeted by their new headmaster, Jonathan Perry, from the front entrance.
Mr. Perry then shook each child by the hand, saying, “‘Welcome, George.
Welcome to Lambrook.
Hello, Louis.
Welcome.'”
Turning to their sister, he added, “‘Welcome, Charlotte.
Lovely to have you with us.
We are very excited about the years ahead.
Are you excited, children?
Looking forward to it.'”
Fans loved the moment of the Cambridge children appearing confident as they prepared for their first day at a new school.
The children attended Lambrook School's welcome session on Wednesday, 7th September, which is held for new starters just before the new term begins.
One person wrote on Twitter, “Louis's little, ‘I will set this place on fire,' face, Charlotte adorable as usual and George a good old soul.”
Another observed that perhaps Louis was mirroring his older brother, adding, “‘I think that it's adorable that Prince Louis wants to be holding just his mum's hand like his big brother is doing.
He grew up overnight.'”
The children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a Settling In Afternoon, which is an annual event held to welcome new students and their families to the school on the day before the new school year begins.
Today is the first day of school for the three of them.
The children have enrolled in a co-educational private school in Berkshire, following the couple's relocation to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor's Home Park.
According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the Duke and Duchess revealed, “‘As they got out of the car they were just giddy with excitement.
It was just so sweet to see, not a nerve in sight.
It was all so relaxed.
They are wonderful kids.'”
The Duchess of Cambridge was the picture of elegance in a brown polka dot dress by Riox for the occasion, which she paired with matching tan-coloured heels.
She wore her soft brown locks in her signature bouncy blow-dry style and kept her make-up and jewellery neutral for the occasion.
Meanwhile, Prince William appeared in equally happy spirits and could be seen walking with his daughter, Princess Charlotte.
All three little Cambridges wore their summer uniform, with Charlotte in a navy gingham summer dress, navy socks and black shoes, and Princes George and Louis looking adorable in smart navy shorts and socks, black shoes and green and white checkered shirt, with their hair neatly combed to one side.
William called his children, “‘All the gang!'
as he ushered them up the steps of the large white nineteenth-century country mansion.
While Prince George, Charlotte and Louis all said they are excited to be starting, a source said the Cambridge children were particularly excited to be going to the same school for the first time.
In an effort to prioritise their children and offer them more independence, the Duke and Duchess are starting a new life in the country, away from the goldfish bowl of their official London house, Kensington Palace.
William and Catherine were rumoured to have their hearts set on the 52-acre prep school Lambrook, noted for its outdoor lifestyle.
The pair will spend more than £50,000 a year on tuition for their three children.
After making the daily trek from West London to South London to the ancient school of George and Charlotte's Thomas Battersea, William drove his family the 20-minute distance, no doubt enjoying his first taste of the shortest school run.
After parking, the five-person family made it to the school during a brief break in the rain, which intensified as more parents arrived.
According to a source, the Cambridge kids were especially thrilled to be attending the same school together for the first time.
They're really excited about starting a new school together, and I think mum and dad are too, they said.
The Cambridge family is also now using the pretty 19th-century Adelaide Cottage as their base after the Queen gave them permission to lease the four-bedroom, Grade II-listed cottage, which belongs to the Crown Estate.
It was built for Queen Adelaide in 1831 and is nestled just a 10-minute walk from Windsor Castle in the private Home Park.
