Prince Philip, the 99-year-old husband of , is facing a double heartache as he mourns a personal loss while battling an infection in the hospital.

It has been revealed that on the day Philip was admitted to King Edward VII's hospital in London, his friend and former royal page passed away.

According to royal commentator and expert Robert Jobson, the Duke of Edinburgh suffered the loss of his royal page and friend on the day he was taken to hospital nearly two weeks ago.
