The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Relatable Night-time Routine
Being a parent is a tough job, even if you're a member of the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who live in Kensington Palace's apartment 1A with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, know this all too well.
Despite their royal duties, the couple tries to keep things as normal as possible for their family.
According to a friend close to the family who recently spoke to People magazine, the Duke and Duchess have a very relatable night-time routine.
After putting their children to bed, Prince William often brings Catherine a gin and tonic.
While Catherine sips on her gin and tea, William opens up a beer or a cider, his preferred spirits, according to Hello!

It's a nice and pretty regular way to end a long day of royal duties and taking care of three kids.
In addition to supporting each other at home, the couple regularly accompany each other at their royal engagements to show support and keep the same attitude at home.
For example, when Catherine attended the awards ceremony of Prince William's Environmental Initiative Earthshot Prize in October this year, photographer Chris Jackson, who captured their candid pictures, said she was clearly really proud of her husband's work.
The photographer, who is married to the Duchess' stylist and close friend Natasha Archer, added that the couple make a strong team.
The Duke and Duchess are also hands-on parents and are available for picking up their children from school and monitoring them as they argue over what songs to play during breakfast.
They also like to take the young royals outside for bike rides or a day out in the sand dunes or beaches near Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk.
During an episode of Apple Fitness Plus' audio podcast series Time to Walk, Prince William shared Princess Charlotte's morning ritual, revealing that she likes to go completely crazy when showing off her dancing moves at breakfast time.
The young royal, who is known for taking ballet lessons, even has disputes with her brothers regarding what song gets played.
“Most mornings there's a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning,” Prince William said, before adding, “George gets his go, then Charlotte gets her go, such is the clamour for the music.”
As for the kids' music choice, it's naturally Shakira's Waka Waka.
“There's a lot of hip movements going on, there's a lot of dressing up,” the father of three added.
The couple has shown their love for the outdoors in a home video they released to mark their 10th wedding anniversary in April this year.
The footage, shot by Will Waugh in autumn 2020 at their Norfolk estate, showed the couple walking up sand dunes on the beach with their children, climbing trees and roasting marshmallows on an open fire.
Despite their busy schedules, the Duke and Duchess prioritize spending quality time with their children.
They have enlisted the help of nanny Maria Tourione Borrello, who runs things at home with the kids and their schedules and is hugely involved in every single part of their day.
However, Catherine likes to keep an ordinary life and is a focused and professional woman, according to a source close to their royal household.
It's clear that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are just like any other parents, trying to balance their royal duties with family life.
They support each other, have fun with their children, and prioritize spending quality time together.
It's refreshing to see a glimpse into their relatable night-time routine and their efforts to keep things as normal as possible despite their status as members of the royal family.
