Megan Markle’s appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in December has been a topic of discussion for the past few days.
However, NBC has denied the claim, and Megan’s cheerleader Omid Scobie has withdrawn the announcement.
The mystery surrounding Megan’s alleged talk show visit began on Monday after NBC published a story on its website stating that Markle will appear on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon next month.
Moments later, Omid took to Twitter to furiously deny the report, insisting that someone at NBC didn’t get the memo and claiming that Megan is not scheduled to make an appearance.
Despite an announcement via their various PR channels, Megan isn’t scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show.
The NBC piece, which has since been deleted, initially stated that Megan would sit down with Fallon in order to discuss her recent projects, as well as the Sussex’s upcoming Netflix documentary, a project that has already sparked furious controversy even before its premiere.
A representative for NBC said in a statement, earlier today, it was inaccurately reported that Megan, the Duchess of Sussex, would be appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on December 7th.
The blunder comes nearly three months after Megan cancelled a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show in the wake of the Queen’s passing on September 8th.
Trending:
Megan had been scheduled to appear on the talk show on September 20th, the same day that she and Harry were due to attend the UN General Assembly in Manhattan.
However, they cancelled both appearances, which were set for the day after the Queen’s funeral date.
The suggestion that Megan was due to appear on a talk show will no doubt have led to major concerns within the palace, particularly as she was reportedly going to speak about the Sussex’s upcoming Netflix docu-series.
Besides, Megan Markle was recently slammed for defending the term woke during a podcast by GB News’ Mark Dolan.
Markle on a popular podcast said, Woke means alert to injustice in society, especially racism.
Reacting to the remarks, Mark Dolan said, Almost anyone in their right mind is alert to injustice in society, especially racism in that sense.
We’re all woke, dear.
The reality is that how we now understand the term woke is the very opposite of being caring and empathetic and a good person.
Woke means to drag acts performing in school classrooms.
Woke is banning books, music and art.
Woke is putting a trigger warning at the start of a George Orwell novel, rewriting Shakespeare and cancelling an episode of Fawlty Towers, which ironically contained a strong and rather clever and subtle anti-racist message.
According to Mark, being woke means prioritizing your feelings over the facts, the prioritizing of what you call yourself over science.
It’s the opposite given its obsession with skin colour and the demonization of those with the wrong kind.
Woke is the dilution and erasing of women and the removal of their hard-earned rights and safety provisions.
Mark expressed, I hope that clears up what woke is, Megan.
And it’s far from being something to be proud of.
Woke is a colossal negative force in modern society, which I believe threatens to bring down the West.
If we’re not careful, we’re at war with woke and it’s a war we’ve got to win, he added.
