Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s transition to Hollywood was pre-planned, a royal biographer has claimed.

In the latest edition of his book “Meghan, A Hollywood Princess”, Andrew Morton revealed that had meetings with US chat show host six months after their wedding.

The couple's move to their current celebrity lifestyle was not an impulsive decision, but a thought-through plan.

Speaking on the podcast Royal, Morton said that conversations with Jeffrey Katzenberg about a streaming internet service called Quibi and Meghan's work with Elton John's husband David Furnish on a show called Pearl, showed that they were very keen on Hollywood.

Meanwhile, Meghan is executive producing a children's animated series titled “Pearl”, which will follow a 12-year-old girl on a series of heroic adventures as she engages with influential women throughout history.

In addition to their Netflix projects, the couple participated in a two-hour tell-all interview with , which aired on CBS earlier this year.

The Sussexes detailed their rift with the royal family, which included allegations of racism and the palace ignoring Meghan's mental health.

Prince Harry followed this interview by producing a docu-series alongside Oprah Winfrey for Apple TV+, which covered his mental health and the trauma of losing his mother at a young age.

He has also conducted high-profile interviews with James Corden and Dax Shepard for the podcast Armchair Expert.

The couple's decision to step back from royal duties was met with public rage after it was revealed that they had lied for money.
