International Nurses’ Day: A Day of Gratitude and Appreciation

As the world continues to face the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, International Nurses' Day takes on a more significant meaning.

This day recognizes and celebrates the invaluable contribution of nursing and midwifery staff all over the world.

The Royal Family joins in the chorus of thank you to these extraordinary people who are at the forefront of the battle against the virus.

The video call also touched on the mental health struggles that healthcare workers face, particularly in the Bahamas where there is still a stigma around mental health.

Despite this, the nurses and midwives continue to care for people day in and day out, showing how vital their role is in the world.

The Royal Family expressed their admiration and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the nurses and midwives.

“You, your colleagues are doing a terrific job.

And I hope you know how appreciated everyone is of what you're all doing,” said .

The Jubilee Hub, which brings people together, was also recognized for its efforts in helping the community.

The Aberdeen Centre, which provides expert care to those in need, was also commended for its special role in the healthcare system.

International Nurses' Day is a day of gratitude and appreciation for the selfless and tireless work of nurses and midwives all over the world.
