Lady Sarah Chateau Stuns in White at Royal Ascot

The Queen's beloved niece, Lady Sarah Chateau, made a stunning appearance at the Royal Ascot for the second day in a row, accompanied by her husband Daniel Chateau.

The 58-year-old daughter of late Princess Margaret looked elegant and poised as she attended Ladies' Day at the racing event in Berkshire on June 16th.

Sarah donned a beautiful white dress with a pleated skirt, paired with a matching cardigan and a white sun hat.

She completed her look with a necklace made of four strings of pearls and star-shaped diamond earrings.

Her cream-coloured heels perfectly matched her wide-brimmed hat, which she wore for both days of the races.

The mother-of-two showcased her natural glow as she opted for a fresh-faced look without any make-up.

Sarah arrived in a carriage with her husband and the Vice Count Brookesborough, waving to fans on her way to the event.

She was seen chatting with her cousin, Zara Tindall, who was also in attendance.

On the previous day, Lady Sarah wore a pretty pink ensemble and was accompanied by her son Samuel, 25, who is a sculptor.

She made a sweet tribute to her late mother through her jewellery, wearing her mother's diamond and pearl drop earrings and a pearl necklace.

She paired these with gorgeous gem-set bracelets on each wrist.

The pair of pearl and diamond earrings hold special meaning for Sarah, as she inherited them from her mother and also wore them at her wedding to Daniel Chateau in 1994.

The earrings were originally part of the Greville jewellery collection, which was left to the Queen Mother by Dame Margaret Greville in 1942.

The collection included the Greville Emerald Coco-Schnick tiara that wore at her wedding in 2018, as well as the Greville tiara, which is a favourite of , Duchess of Cornwall.

Despite being close to the Queen, Lady Sarah is known for keeping a low profile and is not often seen with the Royal Family except for a few key events.

She was the last royal baby to be born at the Palace rather than a hospital and shares a special bond with the Queen, who is said to be her absolute favourite younger royal.

Growing up at Kensington Palace with her mother, who was a working member of the Royal Family, Sarah likely spent a lot of time in the Queen's company.

However, they are thought to have grown even closer after the passing of Princess Margaret twenty years ago, with some reports suggesting that the Queen has almost been like a surrogate mother to her niece.

Sarah and her brother David are known for keeping a low profile, a quality that the Queen admires greatly about them.

An acquaintance described Sarah as unassuming, shy, and almost embarrassed, with no grandeur at all.

Despite this, Sarah is often on the guest list for high-profile events and was recently seated next to and for the service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey during the Jubilee weekend.

The Queen's love for her niece was particularly evident at Prince Philip's funeral last year, where Sarah and her brother were two of only 30 guests invited to the event.

They also attended the memorial service held for the late Duke at Westminster Abbey earlier this year.

Lady Sarah Chateau's elegance and poise were on full display at the Royal Ascot, as she made a fashion statement with her stunning white outfit and meaningful jewellery.

Her low-key personality and close relationship with the Queen have endeared her to many, making her a beloved member of the Royal Family.
