Which Tiara Will Meghan Markle Wear on Her Wedding Day?

With every passing report of houses being shopped for, team meetings with the Queen being arranged, and engagement ring talks being had, it seems like we are getting closer to a royal engagement.

As we wait for an official announcement, it's not too early to start thinking about details for the July wedding.

As a royal bride, is entitled to borrow a tiara from the royal vaults to wear on her wedding day, just like every other royal bride who marries into or is born into the family.

So, which tiara will she choose?

Let's explore some options.

1.

Trending:

The Strathmore Rose Tiara

The Strathmore Rose Tiara was given to the 14th Earl of Strathmore's daughter, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, who later became the Queen Mother, when she married the Duke of York, later King George VI.

It features five rose prongs set with rose-cut diamonds.

This tiara would be a good choice for Meghan for several reasons.

Firstly, it's not currently in use, as the Queen doesn't like to lend out her favorite tiaras.

Secondly, it has a strong symbolic link to the Queen Mother, who was one of the more beloved members of the royal family.

Lastly, there is the possibility that the Queen could loan it out to Meghan long term, so it becomes one of her regular tiaras.

2.

The Queen Mary's French Tiara

If Meghan is looking for some very strong traditional imagery for her wedding, the Queen Mary's French tiara would be a great choice.

This tiara has a modern and simple design with straight spires of diamonds, making it easy to style.

Both and Princess Anne wore it on their wedding days to great effect.

3.

The Teck Crescent Tiara

If Meghan wants to reach deep into the archives for her wedding tiara, she could go with the Teck Crescent Tiara.

This tiara was created by Princess Mary Adelaide and comprises three wildroses and twenty crescent moons, all in white diamonds.

The last time it was seen was on the head of the Queen Mother, who didn't like it all that much and stopped wearing it after three or so appearances.

The Queen Mother then loaned it out to , the Duchess of Cornwall, who hasn't yet worn it.

4.

The Lotus Flower Tiara

The Lotus Flower Tiara would be a good choice for a starter tiara for Meghan, similarly to how was given the smaller, subtler Cartier scroll to wear for the first time before moving on to bigger pieces like the Cambridge Lover's Knot.

The Lotus Flower Tiara is currently in rotation in the Royal Family and has been worn recently by Kate and Viscountess Lindley, which may disqualify it from the running if Meghan wants to stand out.

However, this piece is slightly daintier in design, making it easier and more comfortable to wear.

It's worth noting that the Queen Mother's French tiara famously broke on the morning of 's wedding day, so it's possible that Meghan might choose to wear a tiara that has been tried and tested.

As for which engagement ring will pick for Meghan, there are some options for that too.

He could choose a ring featuring a diamond from Botswana, where the couple went on their first holiday together.

Alternatively, he could choose a ring featuring a diamond from his mother's collection, such as the sapphire and diamond engagement ring that wore.

In conclusion, while we wait for an official announcement of the engagement, it's exciting to speculate about the details of the upcoming royal wedding.

has several tiaras to choose from, each with their own unique history and significance.

We can't wait to see which one she will wear on her big day.
