Britons are split on how the royal family treated Meghan Markle

According to a YouGov opinion poll released on Tuesday, Britons are split on how the royal family treated and his wife Meghan based on their generation, with a plurality of young people believing it was unjust and half of older people saying the contrary.

On the issue of fairness, 32 percent fell into either party, while 36 percent remained undecided.

The dividing line was age. The pair was treated unfairly according to 61 percent of 18-24 year olds, but support waned as respondents became older, with half of those over 65 saying they were treated fairly.

The couple's interview with was televised in the United Kingdom, in which they accused a family member of making a racist remark regarding their son and Meghan claimed she had been alienated to the extent of considering suicide.

According to the survey, more than a third of Britons sympathize with the Queen and members of the Royal Family, while one in five sympathize with and Meghan. Three out of ten people claimed they sympathized with neither, although one out of ten said they sympathized with both.

Deep societal fractures and schisms can only be kept secret for too long: abrupt dramatic developments behave like flares, rendering them difficult to avoid. The revelations about and Prince Harry are only the latest to polarize a divided country.

Trending:

The nation seems to have sided with the monarchy against the Sussexes on the surface, but the actual evidence shows an ink-blot examination, with younger and older Britons casting their eyes on the same episode and finding opposite issues.

Many under the age of 25 are disproportionately sympathetic to Harry and Meghan, whom they feel have been treated unfairly by our national leaders; many over 65, on the other hand, are completely opposed.

This is just one example of an overwhelming truth: Britain's generations live in vastly separate political and moral worlds, to an extent that is unprecedented in human history.
