Kate has ‘come of age’ since Meghan left and is now ‘Queen-in-waiting’

A royal expert claims Megxit saw 's ‘coming of age.'

In her first decade as a member of the royal family, the Duchess of Cambridge has made few mistakes, and she's grown to be a strong supporter of her husband, , while also championing important causes that she cares for.

After and revealed their shock decision to stand down as senior members of the royal family, Duncan Larcombe claims the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, has demonstrated unwavering loyalty to the Queen.

“He knew she was more than capable, but wanted her to be really sure, hence the long courtship. ,” Mr Larcombe told OK! magazine for their unique souvenir edition to commemorate Kate and William's 10th wedding anniversary.

“It seems crazy now, but before the wedding, some people thought Kate was a little dull.

“There was a bit of ‘she's no Diana' and ‘she's never going to be a style icon' – but look how she's proved them wrong.

“She was never going to be a rock-star, red-carpet royal, but in the last 12 months post-Megxit, we have really seen the coming of age of Kate.

“She is really starting to look like a Queen-in-waiting.”

Since Harry and Meghan's departure, Kate has apparently become a big help to a furious William, but sources say her strong relationship with her own family may be crucial to repairing the brothers' rift.

The already tense relationship was exacerbated after they sat down with and made a series of shocking comments about the royal family.

Meghan said Kate made her cry during the conversation, while Harry said his brother was “trapped.”

He said, “My father and my brother are trapped. They don't get to leave, and I have huge compassion for that .”

Following the chat, a source close to William, 38, said the Duke of Cambridge was “reeling.”

They said, “His head is all over the place on it.”

Expert Duncan believes that with Megxit, we have seen Kate's “coming of age.”

During the coronavirus pandemic, she performed various royal roles.

A source said: “Behind the scenes, she is the glue holding a lot of it together. She's not one for drama, but more so the listener who will come up with a plan of action. Perhaps she will be the uniting force for the brothers to heal their divide.

Kate and William married On April 29, 2011.

They met while they were still studying at the University of St Andrews.

As Kate walked down the catwalk in a see-through dress at a charity fashion show in 2002, she is reported to have captured William's attention.

In November of 2010, they declared their engagement.

2,000 people packed Westminster Abbey to see the future King marry Kate fewer than six months later.

Duncan claims that amid the drama and news around Harry and Meghan's departure, Kate has shone.

“The royal family has had a very turbulent three years,” he told OK! Magazine. “So now more than ever, they are looking for stability.”

“The royal tectonic plates have shifted and, whether we like to admit it or not, 's reign is drawing to a close, so the focus must be on the future.

“Charles will still succeed his mother, but everyone knows that King William and Queen Catherine are the future.

“Her Majesty must give thanks every day that William picked such a dutiful, reliable wife.”

“William and Kate have got through 10 years of marriage and royal duties without so much as a moan.,” he added.

“Like any couple, they've had their ups and downs, their rows and tensions. But their commitment to the Queen and to this country has been unwavering… and the controversy over Meghan and Harry's departure from the UK has made that even clearer.”
