Meghan, Harry fled UK to avoid living in Kate, William’s SHADOWS

According to reports, the Duchess of Sussex had planned to move to the United States with her husband and son long before her departure from the Firm to avoid being cast in the shadow of Kate.

Back in 2019, royal commentator Rob Shuter said that the former actress was “planning” to move on after coming in second position at the Trooping the Colour parade.

During his iHeart Radio show, he wrote, citing royal sources: “ is leaving Britain with her prince and baby. refuses to move to Africa, she wants to come to the USA Meghan Markle plans to relocate to Africa and instead wishes to visit the United States.”

“Sources tell me within the Royal Family there's been a lot of talk about and Meghan temporarily moving to Africa but that isn't going to happen because Meghan is planning to return to America with her baby and her prince,” she said.

“Sources add moving away from William and is the goal. Meghan knows if she stays in Britain, this will always mean living in their shadow. Meghan is not the type of girl who is happy coming in second place Meghan isn't the kind of girl who is satisfied with a second-place finish.”

According to Katie Nicholl, Prince Harry's relationship with his brother and sister-in-law was impacted by his marriage to Meghan.

The royal writer, who appeared on the ITV documentary The Day Will and Kate Got Married, said: “William and Harry have had an extremely close friendship for many years, you know, the unbreakable bond between two brothers who lost their mum.

“But when Harry met the one, he couldn't live in the shadow of the Cambridges for any longer.”

Ms Nicholl also commented on the brothers' relationship at the time of Kate and William's wedding: “They were incredibly popular.

“They were the sons that we had seen grow up without a mother, who'd walked behind her coffin, that memory was very much etched on the nation's heart and in its memory.”

But the brothers are not so close anymore.

During the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Prince Harry admitted to a split with his brother, telling journalist and friend Tom Bradby that he and William were “on different paths.”

“Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it's under,” he said.

“Inevitably, you know, stuff happens. But we're brothers. We'll always be brothers We're all going to be brothers.

“We're certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and, as I know, he will always be there for me.

“We don't see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy.

“But I love him dearly. And you know the majority of stuff is created out of nothing.

“But as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.”
