Royal family reputation suffered after Harry and Meghan’s interview
The royal family's reputation in Canada has declined
after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's conversation with Oprah was broadcast on national television.
The news was revealed after an Ipsos poll showed that the royal family's support has dropped six points since 2016.
However, this is not the monarchy's only setback; almost 58 percent of Canadians agree with Meghan Markle's allegations of unjust discrimination, and almost 48 percent believe the monarchy is a racist organization.
There are 59 percent who think Canada should break royal ties, but around 79 percent believe in the Queen.
According to a survey, more than half of Canadians believe the monarchy is outdated as a result of Harry and Meghan's interview.
Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's dramatic interview with Oprah Winfrey, a recent survey shows that well over half of Canadians think the British monarchy is a relic that Canada could abandon.

In an online poll conducted by Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies, 53% of respondents said the British empire had no position in 21st-century Canada, although a third said they would rather protect this aspect of our history.
Christian Bourque, executive vice-president of Leger, said the interview — and how Canadians are reacting to it — should be seen as a setback for the monarchy and those who trust in the position it plays in the nation.
“I think this probably would not have been true a few weeks ago,” Bourque said.
According to the survey, 59% of respondents sympathize more with Harry and Meghan, while 26% claim they sympathize more with the Royal Family.
From March 12 to 14, an online survey of 1,512 adult Canadians was conducted. Since internet-based polls are not called random samples, no margin of error can be assigned.
Fifty-two percent believe that recent incidents surrounding the pair, such as the Duchess of Sussex revealing that she had been led to suicidal feelings and a member of the Royal Family inquiring about the color of her son Archie's face, reveal a profound issue with the organization.
