Similarities between Meghan Markle and Wallis Simpson

Two beautiful American divorcees, Meghan Markle and Wallis Simpson, met their smitten princes when they were 34.

Meghan Markle isn't the first beautiful American divorcee to fall in love with a member of the Royal Family and thoroughly charm them.

Meghan grew up in Los Angeles and was married to Trevor Engelson, a Hollywood producer, from 2011 to 2013, before meeting Prince Harry at the age of 34.

When Wallis Simpson met Edward, then Prince of Wales, in 1931, she had divorced her first husband, US naval officer Win Spencer, and was still married to her second husband, Ernest Simpson. She, too, was 34 years old.

Both women have strikingly black hair that is often parted in the middle and are slim with tender hands.

Meghan Markle's Oprah interview wardrobe is reminiscent of Wallis Simpson's.

Following the broadcast of Meghan's interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duchess of Sussex has been compared to Wallis Simpson due to her contrasting appearance.

Meghan chose a floral Armani dress worth £3,300, which was identical to one of Simpson's monochrome photographs.

Furthermore, the two wore their hair in a bun with a middle parting, and they had the same hairstyle.

“Idk does no one else feel the serious Wallis Simpson vibe coming off Meghan in that trailer,” a royal fan posted on Twitter.

“Meghan's stiff posture is the spitting image of the Duchess of Windsor – surely deliberate??” Another was included.

The duchess was previously compared to Simpson because they are both American divorcees who caused their royal spouses to relinquish their roles after their marriages into the family caused havoc.
