Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Opens Up About Her Royal Life in Tell-All Interview

Ahead of her 75th birthday, the Duchess of Cornwall, , gave a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at her royal life in a new tell-all interview with British Vogue.

In the interview, discussed the negative press coverage she received due to her relationship with , which was blamed for the break-up of his marriage to .

The 74-year-old Duchess, who has spent much of the last 30 years in the public eye, revealed how she keeps her marriage with solid and lifted the lid on what her life is like as a working royal.

During the interview, Camilla opened up about the intense negativity from the public she faced when her relationship with Prince Charles was revealed back in the 90s.

She admitted that it's not easy to shoulder the ridicule and criticism in the public eye.

However, Camilla's popularity has grown year on year as she has continued to pursue charitable work, such as supporting victims of domestic violence.

Camilla revealed that rather than dwell on the criticism and let it define her, she had chosen to get on with her life instead and focus on being the best wife, mother, and grandmother she can be.

She added that in the end, she rises above the negativity and gets on with life.

Throughout the trials and tribulations of public scrutiny, Camilla has always had the strong support of her husband, Prince Charles, to help her through.

The Duchess even revealed that part of the reason her marriage to the Prince of Wales is so strong is because they make a point of spending a few moments together every day to talk and relax.

Speaking to the magazine, Camilla said, “It's not easy sometimes, but we do always try to have a point in the day where we meet.

Sometimes it's like ships passing in the night.

But we always sit down together and have a cup of tea and discuss the day.

It's lovely to catch up when we have a bit of time.”

The Duchess also revealed that sometimes she doesn't even need to chat with Charles, instead preferring to sit in silence and enjoy his company while they pursue other activities such as reading.

She added, “You know, when we go away, the nicest thing is that we actually sit and read our books in different corners of the same room.

It's very relaxing because you know you don't have to make conversation.

Just sit and be together.”

Camilla's interview with British Vogue gives a rare insight into the life of a working royal and how they deal with the constant scrutiny from the public eye.
