Duchess Camilla and Duchess Kate’s Photo Shoot for Country Life Magazine

The Duchess of Cornwall, , recently spoke about the photo shoot she had with her stepdaughter-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, to mark her 75th birthday in an upcoming ITV special.

In the special, also praised her parents-in-law, II and the late Prince Philip.

Camilla became the third Royal Guest Editor of Country Life magazine ahead of her 75th birthday on July 17th.

Her special issue went on sale on July 13th, and it featured some truly stunning photos of Camilla captured by Catherine.

The Duchess of Cambridge is already known as a keen photographer, and her stepmother-in-law praised her very natural approach.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Camilla was excited to talk about the photo shoot in ITV's Camilla's Country Life.

The insightful documentary is set to air on the evening of her special edition publication day, and Camilla revealed how much fun she and Catherine had.

“They are very good pictures.

She does it very naturally.

We had a lot of fun doing it,” she said.

“It was very relaxed and very kind that the Duchess of Cambridge came with her camera.

She's an extremely good photographer.

It was all very casual.”

For the new pictures, both Camilla and Catherine opted for a very special natural look.

“There wasn't much hair or makeup,” Camilla continued.

“It was just done in the garden, with a lot of laughs.

It was a lovely way of doing it.”

This relaxed and casual approach certainly achieved some standout snaps of 's wife in the garden of her Ray Mill house, home in Wiltshire.

Beaming in a floral dress, her happiness was clear for all to see.

Camilla reportedly declared on the ITV documentary that her husband approved of one particular photo.

“This is the one I know that my husband approves of,” she said.

Catherine offered to make any necessary adjustments, but Camilla was happy with the pictures.

“If I can get over the fact I'm looking at myself, I think they are very nice and just what is needed for country life.”

The photo shoot took place in the garden of Camilla's home, and it was her idea to tap Catherine as her photographer.

The Country Life editor, Mark Hedges, said, “I spent the next three or four minutes desperately racking my brains trying to think of a professional photographer called Catherine.

Then suddenly I gasped what she meant.

One of the most amazing things that could happen.

I found it one of the easier things to nod my head at.”

In the preview, Camilla also paid tribute to II, who is 96 years old, and her late husband at a lunch hosted by the Oldie magazine.

Camilla outlined her early life, noting what she deemed as one of the most important memories in 1947 when the then Princess Elizabeth married Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, two of the most remarkable people in our country's history.

The Duchess of Cambridge then noted the Duke of Edinburgh's life motto, saying, “The Duke of Edinburgh's philosophy was clear.

Look up and look out.

Say less, do more.

And get on with the job.”

Commending the Queen's long service as monarch, following her platinum jubilee, Camilla added, “This is just what I intend to do.

Both he and Her Majesty have always been the very touchstone of what it truly means to get on with the job, and an inspiration to each one of us here to do the same, whatever our age.”

Camilla also reflected on her relationship with Prince Philip, who died in April 2021 at the age of 99.

“The Duke of Edinburgh was always a very good ear,” Camilla said.

“He was a role model to me and a very good person to take advice from because he always told me what he thought.”

As a consort to his wife, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip no doubt provided Camilla with an idea of her role when becomes monarch one day.
