Duchess of Cambridge Admits to Wanting a Fourth Child
During a recent two-day royal visit to Denmark, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, made an honest admission to Prince William – she wants to have a fourth child.
The announcement was made on the first day of her solo tour, during which she met with parents and their babies at the University of Copenhagen.
The Duchess was there to learn from world-leading researchers running the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project, which aims to promote the mental well-being of infants and their parents.
During the visit, she discussed the challenges faced by new parents and praised fathers for taking time off work to bond with their babies.
As a mother of three herself, Catherine has made early childhood development one of the key causes in her royal work.
However, being around babies has become an occupational hazard as she admits to getting broody when she sees them.

After meeting two eight-month-old baby boys and their parents, the Duchess confessed, “‘It makes me very broody,' and admitted that Prince William always worries when she meets young children because it gives her ideas to have another child.”
Last year, the Duchess was entangled in pregnancy rumours after eagle-eyed royal watchers speculated that she was staying out of the public eye due to morning sickness.
However, royal experts at the time dismissed the suggestions that the Cambridges were trying for a fourth baby.
Speaking to Today Australia, royal commentator Russell Myers said, “‘I think that the Duchess isn't pregnant.
I think that some people have been asking the question of where has Catherine been.
But where the truth really lies is they have been on holiday.'”
During a visit to Lancashire earlier this year, William joked about the prospect of Catherine wanting another baby.
While taking photos with some families, the couple met Trudy and Alastair Barry and their daughter Anastasia.
Catherine held the baby girl as they posed for a photo, causing onlookers to coo and prompting Prince William to joke, “‘Don't give my wife any more ideas!'”
Despite the jokes, Catherine has been adamant that her husband does not want another child.
While chatting with a crowd during a visit to the town of Bradford in January 2020, royal fan Josh Mepelsey excitedly told Catherine that he had sent cards congratulating her after each of her three children were born.
“‘I don't think William wants any more,' Catherine told him.”
Earlier this year, during a February visit to Northern Ireland, Catherine admitted to feeling broody as she met an adorable five-month-old baby.
The baby's father boldly asked, “‘Baby number four?'”
Catherine replied with a laugh, “‘I think William would be a little worried!'”
Despite the Duchess' desire for another child, it seems that the couple is focused on their work for the next 12 months.
Royal expert Nick Bullen told US Magazine last year, “‘They are really focused over the next 12 months on their work.
It is not about a new baby.'”
Catherine's jewellery choices may also hint that their family is complete with their three children as she has several necklaces featuring the trio's initials.
However, only time will tell if the Duchess will get her wish for a fourth child.
