A source told the publication that Kate's good luck talismans included a 19th century alabaster cameo pendant from the Queen and her mother's black onyx beads.

The magazine also claims that three framed family photos, including one with Her Majesty and another with the Middletons, have been added to the mix.

George and Charlotte have also picked some favourite toys for Kate to take to the hospital with her for good luck.

The royal has also included a selection of her favourite moisturisers as a pampering treat.

Kate is likely to have a team of more than 20 medical experts and other staff working or on standby from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs St Mary's.

Consultant obstetrician Guy Thorpe-Beaston and consultant gynaecologist Alan Farthing will be again involved after helping to deliver Kate's previous children.
