Duchess of Cambridge Pays Quiet Tribute to Queen at Prince Philip’s Memorial Service

The Duchess of Cambridge has always been a favorite among the royal family and fans since marrying Prince William.

She has built a strong bond with Prince William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and despite their age difference, they appear to have a lot in common.

The two women clearly have a deep respect for one another, and Catherine showed her heartfelt regard for Her Majesty at Prince Philip's memorial ceremony last week in a quiet but effective manner.

As reported in the Mirror, royal fans spotted Catherine performing a deep yet discreet courtesy towards the Queen as she entered Westminster Abbey for the service last week.

Footage from the service shows Catherine bobbing down to perform the gesture as the Queen was accompanied down the aisle to her seat at the start of the service.

Royal fans had to be eagle-eyed to spot the low courtesy from the Duchess.

This is because royal protocol dictates that one should perform courtesy to the Queen only on their first meeting of the day.

The clip of the sweet moment was shared on Twitter, sparking praise from royal watchers.

Twitter user Stephen James, who posted the video, said, “The Duchess of Cambridge courtesies as the Queen walks past, maintaining standards even when Her Majesty can't see it.

She gets the brief.”

Another Twitter user, Canella Bell, replied, “Catherine is simply the ultimate royal standard.

A third person, Bronisi, commented, “Catherine knows how things are done.”

A fifth, Mrs Paul B, added, “I just can't help but think how much the Queen Mother would have respected and adored her.

It's obvious that she takes her responsibilities very seriously.”

Catherine and Prince William took their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to the memorial service for Philip on Monday.

The Duchess looked typically elegant in a black and white polka dot dress with a hat in the same colors.

William introduced his eight-year-old son to Westminster Abbey's chapter, or governing body, lined up close to the Great West Door.

After the Duke of Cambridge shook hands with the clergy, the young royal, looking slightly nervous, did the same.

Catherine followed with Charlotte, six, putting a hand on her back and ushering her smiling daughter forward as she was introduced.

Charlotte also looked a little apprehensive and at the end clutched her mother's hand as they were led to their seats.

The Cambridges had already taken their places at the event when the Queen arrived.

The 95-year-old monarch was escorted by Prince Andrew to her front row seat.

The frail Queen was determined to attend the memorial service despite her recent mobility issues.
