Duchess of Sussex Celebrates 39th Birthday Amidst Rumors of Royal Rift
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, celebrated her 39th birthday on Tuesday with her husband Prince Harry and their son Archie in Los Angeles.
This is the first birthday that Meghan has celebrated since stepping back from royal life.
Despite rumors of a rift between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, Prince William and his wife Duchess Kate still posted a sweet photo in honor of the Duchess of Sussex's birthday.
Prince William and Duchess Kate's Twitter message for Meghan's 39th birthday was touching.
They shared the post early on Meghan's birthday morning, wishing her a very happy birthday.
The post included a photo of Meghan greeting a young girl at a surprise outing for military families last November in Windsor.

Queen Elizabeth also sent her own birthday wishes to Meghan via social media, expressing her greetings on the royal family's official page.
She wished the Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday alongside an image of the monarch and Meghan on their memorable joint outing in 2018.
Additionally, Meghan's parents-in-law, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, chimed in with their own post, wishing her a happy birthday.
Meghan has previously shared that she uses her birthday each year as a time to reflect and look forward to the year ahead.
In 2016, she wrote on her now-deleted lifestyle website, The Tag, “My mom has always said that birthdays are your own personal new year.
Your own chance to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead.”
However, Meghan's birthday comes amidst the release of a new royal biography, Finding Freedom, which details Harry and Meghan's decision to step back from the royal family.
The book claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex felt “cut adrift and frustrated by their roles within the royal family.”
Excerpts from the book also claim that Harry felt frustrated that he and Meghan took a “back seat to other members of the royal family despite their popularity.”
It is understood that Harry and Meghan were upset as they were told to wait to announce projects as senior royals like Prince Charles and Prince William's appearances and announcements were prioritized.
A friend of the couple is said to have described the old guard as the Vipers, while a palace insider called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's team the squeaky third wheel of the royal family.
Harry and Meghan reportedly tried to air their frustrations with the establishment, but the conversations didn't lead anywhere.
Kate and Prince William are said to be frustrated over claims made about their relationship with Meghan in the upcoming biography.
Claims made in the book allege that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had a hostile relationship with Meghan, which played a part in her departure from the royal family alongside Prince Harry.
However, close friends of the Cambridges insisted that the couple welcomed Meghan with open arms and had even invited her to their family home, Amher Hall in Norfolk.
Despite the rumors of a rift between the royal couples, it was heartening to see Prince William and Duchess Kate still posting a sweet message for Meghan's birthday.
