Harry and Meghan Kiss After Polo Win: A Look at the Awkward Moment

and were seen kissing each other after his polo team won a tournament at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club recently.

However, getting the perfect shot was not easy for the Duchess of Sussex.

She had to tell the other wives and girlfriends not to take photos due to security reasons and then find a way around the trophy and several large men.

During the event, Meghan was also seen walking side by side with her former Suits co-star, Abigail Spencer, who was a short distance from Harry and Meghan's home in Montecito.

However, the day did include one awkward moment when the winning team fumbled the trophy over Meghan's head, temporarily obscuring her in the process.

According to body language expert Judy James, Meghan seemed to be showing caution while kissing Harry despite the sweet initiative.

Trending:

Amidst Harry's macho teammates, the smooch appeared out of place.

Meanwhile, during the kiss, Meghan seemed rather restrained.

Judy said, “Meghan is in complete command, control and steer mood with this congratulatory kiss at polo.”

Moreover, she added, “as Harry leans in with all his customary keenness for some intimacy signaling, Meghan places two hands up to his face in what looks like a bit of a steering and restraining gesture.”

Additionally, Judy noted that Meghan's wide-brimmed hat, giant shades, and red lipstick would all form a tactical nightmare for anything more passionate than a peck on the cheek.

Notably, the team members look heartily fed up with Meghan.

It was their moment and not hers.

She simply doesn't understand that people are not interested in her.

Photographer Karl Larsson, who snapped and at a polo game, told the images were obtained legitimately, and guests at the polo were allowed to take photographs.

He said, “the polo match was a public event.

Everyone was allowed to take pictures but no one came to take pictures.

I wouldn't have put my name on the photo if it was dodgy at all.”

However, a royal expert criticized the moment the couple shared in an article that moans of a scene-stealing hat and the chastising of Meghan's old school Hollywood glamour attitude.

Daniela Elza wrote, “did Meghan simply wake up and decide that some old school Hollywood glamour was the order of the day given she was going to present the winners trophies?

Or was she, Cecil B. de Milla style, simply getting ready for her close up?”

Criticism of Markle's dress and kissing of the Duke of Sussex continued, with Elza adding, “So, was Meghan's uber glam show on the weekend just that?

A made-for-TV moment?”

The expert was critical of the Sussexes' attire, writing, “despite having been photographed at polo matches for years, we have never seen a look like this before.”

Polo has long been a part of the Sussexes' lives.

In 2017, when Meghan was then a royal girlfriend, she first attended a few chukkas with her boyfriend wearing a chic tailored black dress and wedges.

On each of these occasions, she looked fabulous and nowhere near as styled to within an inch of her life as this week's outing.

In conclusion, Harry and Meghan's kiss after his polo team won a tournament may have been sweet, but the awkwardness of the moment was palpable.

While some praised the couple's affectionate display, others criticized Meghan's Hollywood glamour and the couple's attire.
