Idris Elba Reveals Meghan Markle’s Control Over His Music Set at Royal Wedding
An old clip of British actor Idris Elba talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son has resurfaced online.
In the video, the actor is asked whether he's met baby Archie.
“No, no, no, no one has,” the actor answered.
Royal author Angela Levin, who recently released a book on Queen consort Camilla, retweeted the clip with the caption, “that's very odd.”
Hundreds of social media users started asking when the actor made the remarks.
One online user said, “no one has, I love him for that, and Luther.

Given his history with the Prince's Trust, I'm guessing he's definitely not a fan of Meghan.”
Another added, “bless him, Idris had a grant from the Prince's Trust to be able to begin his acting career, he's more connected to the King than Henry.”
The London actor has revealed that when he was asked to provide the musical entertainment at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding reception at Windsor, Meghan insisted on taking control.
Meghan told Elba what songs he should play in his set.
“Meghan had sent me a playlist so I knew what she wanted already,” he explains.
However, when he's asked which he found to be the most stressful, he replies, “the wedding no doubt.”
“This wasn't like my cousin's wedding,” the evening's celebration was held at Frogmore House, the grade one listed former home of Queen Victoria's mother.
“This wasn't at the community hall,” the reception says Elba, who made his name in celebrated US crime drama The Wire.
“This was a big, big deal.
The Sussexes are good friends and I wanted to make sure they had a great time, so there was a lot of pressure.”
Back in April, the team at Channel 9's Today show joked about Meghan's love for the streets, as they displayed a surprising knowledge of rap music during a segment on Meghan Markle's wedding playlist.
After discovering Markle had requested Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg's 1999 hit Still Dre to be played during her wedding reception with Prince Harry, the panelists made some awkward hip hop references.
“Do you reckon Meghan still got love for the streets?”
Entertainment reporter Brooke Boney asked.
“She still keeps it real doesn't she?”
added co-host Ali Langdon.
Fill-in host Charles Croucher then quoted the lyrics to the song saying, “she's still hitting the corners in the low low.”
Brooke was taken aback by his knowledge of the hip hop classic and then burst into laughter.
Regarding Archie's birth, Prince Harry was reportedly gripped by shrouding the details around son Archie's birth.
One source described Harry as being almost morbidly obsessed with keeping Archie's birth as secret as possible.
This quest for secrecy allegedly breached an unwritten contract between the royals and the public, who were eager and expecting to hear all the details about the new royal baby.
Behind the scenes, matters were so fraught that more than one official, as I know one from personal experience, was reduced to tears of frustration and despair added Rebecca Ring Glish.
The usual protocol following a royal birth is for the father, mother and newborn baby to pose on the steps of the hospital, surrounded by well-wishers and photographers and answer a few questions before driving away.
But the Sussexes wanted to change all of that according to Nickel.
When Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6th, 2019, the couple managed to bamboozle the press when he actually arrived.
Harry had always enjoyed outfoxing the media, Nickel writes.
He and Meghan were thrilled to be safely delivered of their son in London's private Portland hospital even before the palace press office had confirmed the Duchess was in labour.
Two days later, the couple participated in a brief photo opportunity with a single reporter to ask questions.
But it all felt stage managed, with pre-approval questions, one journalist and one photographer, Nickel continues.
It demonstrated the growing gulf between public expectations of Harry and what he felt obliged to give.
